As you've said, the can be reprofiled for 4L0 use. I've had it done, using a250 head that was in a right state. Was 25ukp on ebay, so much cheaper. Definitely worth going back to seller on price.

Broke my back in 2 places many years ago and missed damaging nerves by a millimeter. Bloke the week before me had same accident but ended up quadriplegic. Sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not. Very good to hear he has some movement returned, hope he makes a full recovery. It'll be a long road but it's possible.
That is a awesome looking bike 😃 The riders gear looks very cool.
Niall MacKenzie on his YZR500. Not sure what track but that's the year he led the British GP for about a lap. 1989 maybe? I was sat on the sofa going bonkers at the tv. 😊

Avoid ParcelFarce for bike parts. As others have said, they will not insure anything automotive related, no matter how small. I sold Bezzer a crank, which they managed to drop and bend the tapered end . A lot of courier firms have the same terms and conditions, so be very careful who you use. It's a minefield unfortunately. Some couriers are paid by the parcel - 50p a drop is not unknown, so that may explain their lack of care and patience, others can only go home once everything has been delivered. I've had deliveries at 7.30 at night before now ! A UPS driver's job is often advertised on Indeed locally - £10 an hour before stoppages !! Dusty I've been using MyHermes a lot as I can't get out the house often. I've had great service but had a shock when I read the small print over what they wouldn't cover. I sent an old laptop to someone in Sweden and MyHermes wouldn't cover any damage to it going by their T&C's. So, definitely read the small print!

Experiencing something like that really brings home how fragile health can be. Heal well.

When I raced my LC it was a common mod to allow you to use a lighter oil to achieve a similar damping level. The reason being that thicker oils would tend to 'froth' up and give inconsistent damping when used on the track. With the amount of patter that LC suspension gives on the track with race tyres every little helps!
My damper rods were completely braised up and then two new (much smaller) holes were drilled.

I think that is great, and it's well deserved. I've used your webpage for years, and referred people to it, and appreciate it must be a real labour of love. Nice to see that your hard work is recognised.

I used a YBR125 front master cylinder (11mm bore) on my LC with a single blue spot, as the 1/2" LC250 one was too wooden. YBR125 master cylinder takes standard LC levers as does the TDR250 one. What 4L04ever says. I found the standard TDR M/C with a blue spot caliper incredibly wooden, no feel at all. With a 11mm M/C it is so much better. I think I used one off a WR125X, as that was what was available cheaply at the time.

Good move. Let's keep this place about what we all have in common and not introduce such a divisive subject to the community here.

They don't have a good rep on the TDR forum due to fitment issues, and being slow to fix them. Hope they sort it out for you quickly.
I've used their shocks on more modern bikes a couple of times with no issues.

I've got an M6 helicoil kit you can borrow if you want, to save you buying one for the sake of doing two threads.

Close relation to the a7 then. I'm always surprised how smooth it runs. Certainly a lot smoother than my C25 Barracuda! You've got some nice rides there.

My Mrs loves to point out that I never sell a bike I like followed by a rolling of eyes
Plus the LC I'm rebuilding and the TZR in the loft Never had a car or kids, so spent my money on more important things. Is that an A7? My Dad still has and rides his A7SS that he bought in 1962. My longest owned bike is my LC. Bought it in 1999 for £125 as a basket case. Ben through a lot with it since. I'm very close to completing a restoration on it but need my health to improve so I can get in the garage. I miss my 2stroke fix!

There was a UK chap, went by the name Slinger, who moved to Canada. He used to do some great tuning work and did stuff for me. Not sure what the shipping situation to Canada would be for you. However, last I read he was concentrating more on outboards these days. Have you asked on the RZ/RD forum? They have an LC specific forum and should have some ideas. A chap called Scott used to get recommendations but I know nothing about him personally: home.earthlink.net/~scloughn/id14.html

Can't see it mentioned above but seeing as how I've made this mistake in the past thought I'd suggest... Is the joining pipe between the two carbs in place, the one that runs horizontally between the two carb bodies? My recollection is that it was a bitch to start with out that. I did manage it but fortunately realised my error before riding it.

Fired mine up for the first time in over 8years. It's been a complete rebuild, engine and chassis. A few bits more to do before she's on the road but great to have her running again.
