Hi I bought a badly assembled hybrid a while back as well . It has what I assume to be a TZR front end on it . Fork legs are about 39mm , a single disc about 320mm and 3 spoke wheel . There is also a bottom yoke . It deffo has a speedo drive and I think a spacer as well .
Id be very willing to do a deal if its what you need .

1981 mods were Tie Bars , Carbs , Exhausts and Cylinders The 1980 carbs were modded by the dealers .
Most Yamaha model specific parts show revisions in the part numbers -
4LO - 14101 - 00 is a carb assembly for 1980 4LO - 14101 - 01 is a carb assembly for 1981 ( one revision or modification )
4LO - 11181 -09 is a head gasket with 9 revisions or mods . Etc etc
Hope this helps

Sounds just like my 4LO did when a reed valve failed . Have you checked them ?

Just had mine done by Bob Farnham . He told me that its a pain in the neck however many times youve done it . I did have reed spacers in but hated the way they scrunch up the air box rubbers .

Ive been out every day this week on my 4LO trying to sort out a misfire / stutter at 5000 rpm . Mick Abbey tune , reprofiled head and Allspeeds . I ended up checking and re checking the carb balance ( and adjusting ) , backing out the airscrews another half turn and dropping the needles one notch . Hey presto it pulls clean through the old problem area . Sounds much better as well . Only ever adjust one thing at any one time ! Hope this helps

I have a pair exactly the same on my 4LO . The Haynes manual does clearly show them . 35mm straight stanchion , flat plate with straight air valve . Black plastic cap over . Get a mate to push down the plate with a socket and bar or similar over the air valve. Then get the circlip out . Wiggle the plate about and it will come out under a bit of upward pressure . BE CAREFUL of spring pressure . Speak to Norbo for new bushes and seals . Hope this helps

I'm sure that Road and Dirt Performance stock a lot of Wiseco stuff . Haven't got a number for them but they do come up on Google search . They are in Yorkshire . HTH

Im using Bridgestone BT45s at the moment . I really like them but they do seem to wear quickly . Will be trying Avon RoadRiders next time .

I looked at that as well . Worth a punt for the engine but £900 was too rich for me .

I asked Ron last year about doing the DT175 mod to some cylinders . Im pretty sure he told me that he charges £400 to reline the cylinders and supply new pistons . He also re profiles a head for you . He told me to send up 250LC head and barrels as they are cheap . He is a very nice man . He is a very very busy man . You will wait several months to get them back . I havent got round to it yet but he did re profile a 250 head for my 350 . I get much better low revs power and in the powerband it revs out much quicker .

Im fairly sure that its 11 years that you have to keep it for until it legally becomes yours . Heard of the same thing happening with a Rolls Royce a while back . Garage got to sell it on totally legally .
Can you not get his info off the DVLA website ?

Theres a guy on ebay uk from the USA . Copper gaskets unlimited I think . He will make one for you with any size bore you want . It will need a coat of Wellseal or similar on it if you use one . Search RD350LC head gasket and he comes up .

Do you have the little washer on the end of the drive shaft in place ? Have you mixed a 250 shaft with a 350 pump ? Just a couple of thoughts ...

I had pretty much the same as Steven . One of my metal reeds failed - it was making a noise like a cat had got caught up in the wheels . Ran real bad at low revs as well . Got 2 sets of YPVS cages off ebay , flatted them off on one of those £10 diamond sharpening stones . Got some fibre reeds from Yambits and faffed away for two days until I got a set to seat properly . Cost way too much time and money but at least I know its right .

They look to be almost the same length ( 498mm against 506mm ) but dont forget that the LC forks are smaller diameter
