Hi, just wondered if the 350 frame ever came without the tie bar brackets, or were all the recalls needed/done before it was released?
Was the recall just uprated exhausts, as I assume the dealers couldn't weld the brackets on??

1981 mods were Tie Bars , Carbs , Exhausts and Cylinders The 1980 carbs were modded by the dealers .
Most Yamaha model specific parts show revisions in the part numbers -
4LO - 14101 - 00 is a carb assembly for 1980 4LO - 14101 - 01 is a carb assembly for 1981 ( one revision or modification )
4LO - 11181 -09 is a head gasket with 9 revisions or mods . Etc etc
Hope this helps

All my LC'S are non tie bar which is ok. Allspeeds are fine with this as you get the flexibility at the exhaust flange. Did manage 15 years on standard pipes without cracking them mind on a standard 4LO.

Thanks, thought there might be some, due to the release dates shortly after the 250. Got an early 250 I'm going to do up, will post in the rebuild threads soon.
