Sounds like Bare is up for a set! Great idea Rob and will fit many other wheels too such as TZR, FZR etc.

It's my mate Wez's bike (or was!). I am a bit sad he has sold it but glad it went to someone who will appreciate and use it

Then you'd get someone saying they aren't original, and would also have to be stamped anyway! Can't win really, doesn't look a bad bike at face value.

I'm hoping to come along on Tuesday, might be a late arrival though as I don't normally finish work 'til 6 but will see what I can wangle.

Mine's on historic but there's nothing on the V5 to suggest that it has a YPVS engine fitted, only engine number and CC.

Looks more like the shape of the seat isn't quite right where it has been re-covered. Panel and tank fit look fine to me. Has the seat base been trimmed or has some of the foam been removed or reshaped? Maybe try another original seat just to confirm?

Did my LC yesterday, (registered 23rd Oct 1980, current Mot runs out 22nd May).
Literally took 2 minutes - I took the V5 and Mot into Post Office, lady tore off the front part, handed me the rest and gave me a zero value receipt.
She did say to cancel the tax direct debit so they don't take any more payments but the last one was only taken a couple of days ago so it should all have completed before the next payment is due.

Hi, nope sorry no such thing as a ballpark setting. The jetting will depend on so many factors - whether you are running airbox or filters, which pipes, state of tune, premix or oil pump etc etc!! Need more info

Yep same as FZ750 there is an angled R clip inside the caliper that holds the pins in

I think the lower rad to engine case and the one up the back of the barrels will fit. The top hoses are different and the outlet on the LC head is further back so can't be sure about those.

Yeah you just have to drill or cut off the pip inside the centre of the clutch area, otherwise fits straight on. You will obviously need the oil pump cover too

Remove the rubber boot, circlip, retaining washer and pushrod so you are faced with the cup end of the plunger. Loads of WD40, push the plunger inwards as far as you can with a Philips screwdriver. Hold the cylinder in your hand (like a grip) and slam the open end down onto a wooden surface really hard. Push the piston back in and keep repeating this until it comes out.

Total crap 🙄 Be warned, if you leave negative feedback they will block you I bought a Fazer rear caliper piston kit and the back edge of the piston is not rounded so it wouldn't go in without damaging the seals I complained and they said I had to post it back and they would refund but I had to pay the post I complained saying it wasn't fair I had to pay for a crap component They refused so I left neg feedback saying they wouldn't pay return post for defective parts and the fecking blocked me Made a complaint years later and they said they would lift it so I bought what I was wanting Went to buy something else recently and got a message saying the seller wasn't dealing with me Tw4ts 😡 Steve I had exactly the same, years ago I bought some EXUP carb rubbers that had been boxed wrong (turned out they were R1). I phoned up, sent them back with a letter and never got my postage refunded so left them a negative and also got blocked from them and Busters! No skin off my nose, plenty of other suppliers now.

If the torque arm is bolted to the swingarm, then it will all move together so the caliper hanger will be fixed. If the torque arm is anchored to the frame, then the caliper hanger will need to float on a bearing as the suspension moves up and down. Make sure you do it the correct way, if you get it wrong things could get very nasty!

Only 700 miles but had a 4K recommission so it’s a restored bike then ! Might be the way the picture has been taken but the engine numbers look a bit odd to me. I was thinking that too, the surface looks a little smooth
