Anyone help with how to stop this. Fitted a clear glass cover on clutch cover side of engine when engines running it gets a milky stain on the glass overnight it disappears & oil looks clean and clear, I’ve changed oil 3 times, fitted new water pipe and all new seals fitted so pretty sure it’s not water leaking into the oil? And water levels all ok. but when it’s been running 10 mins the oil running down glass goes milky again. Any idea what to check/ look for? cheers

It can happen in cold weather with cold damp weather
Good ride at full temperature clears it
As soon as the gear oil goes over 100c it should vent off

Probably aerated like the hot water from your taps it goes clear after a minute

Can you recommend any good paint that sticks to glass? Should I paint both sides to be on the safe side?

Its normal condensation build up, until the gearbox oil gets hot enough to burn it off, it will look milky in colour, you need to ride it longer.
All gearboxes are the same, its just with the clear window you can see it.

Plus it gets churned up with the air, and air normally always has some moisture content. All normal.

It'll be condensation, just needs a decent ride and it'll eventually clear.

As others have said, it's just condensation. It usually clears after a good run and won't be as bad when the weather warms up. Gets called "mayonnaise" when there's a thick build up of it.

No not sarky... just the best and cheapest fix (if there is no water ingress) once the casing has had a window and a hole cut out of it. If the casing still had its structural integratory there would be no issue. I live in a damp shite hole (dark satanic cotton mills) and oil can look like cutting suds here, first time I noticed this was when I was 18 on my CB900 oil dipstick. It was a WTF?? moment! If painting the "glass" use an etch primer for plastic 1st...

If the casing still had its structural integratory there would be no issue. That's always been a concern of mine to be honest, that and if the bike did happen to fall/take a knock on that clear cover, are you more likely to be left stranded due to losing all the oil,....they do look cool but for those reasons I've passed.
