If DK were selling that they'd "have had it running on easy start"
Saw it earlier and thought it had came out a lake

Well that's seen better days. I particularly like the 4L1 stamped on the YPVS casings with no attempt to match the original stamp.

Aside from its manky condition, and obvious chain damage, badly stamped 4L1 engine number with it Being a PV rings many many alarm bells
Beaten to it .....

Perfect for that multi thousand pound special that ends with a bike with a dodgy engine number...thus reducing its value to f**k all. (You can get pissy about it but a fact is a fact. And you will most probably be fact if you do buy it) Buy it...build it... you know it makes no sense..... D. Boy. Peckham.

And people have been bidding on it π³ I always thought that the engine number area was supposed to be ribbed and as said itβs had an obvious 3 new numbers added to the front

I think you are all being too harsh
It must have been running great, look at the lovely tan colour on the piston crowns π

I may as well join in.
"As you can see it is the crankase, heads and right hand side cover".
I see no heads.
If he lived around the corner from me I would give him Β£50 for it. If it was ten years ago I would expect him to give me it for nothing.
Being serious for a moment the gearbox and clutch might be O.K. The barrels might be O.K. with a re-bore or even hone. Crankcases for spares for a track bike. No one is going to come knocking at your door over obviously re-stamped cases are they? Certainly not the Old Bill. Bit of a gamble about the internal condition but at todays prices got to be worth a couple of hundred?
I'm "watching" it just for a chuckle at the final bid.

If you look at pic number 4, the dog is displaying what he thinks of it.... bollox. (Probably just emptied his bladder on it to make it more presentable....)
Alternator made of wood? are you joaking?
Worth a punt if barrels have plenty left in them after rust removal.

I actually messaged the seller to point out the irregularities of his sale, ie not LC but LC2, engine number is a fake
He replied that he bought it for 20 quid and what was I angling at, I said nothing sinister, just making sure you know what you have
He wished me happy bidding, I said unfortunately I wouldn't be bidding

Not a bad return on 20 quid after apparently owning it for 5 years or so
Amazing what people are prepared to pay for rubbish, it's a boat anchor at best
