Norbo sells the shaft in the shop and Arrow has had some gears made or is in the process of finalising them.

Has it got the 2 anti vibration washers on the engine / frame fitted? The engine mounts can be very awkward to get out and you risk breaking the casing getting them out.

Hi gents Just finished my F1 resto but it can only run when tap is in prime position. When stripped it down I’ve noticed there’s no spacer where the diaphragm sits in so the vacuum won’t work. By chance Has anyone got a spare spacer from a broken old tap? Or is it a visit to the Fowler’s shop for a whole new tap assembly. cheers chris Hi Chris, I have a couple of spare / parts tap assemblies - drop me a message if you are still looking for one for parts.

Are the 500 engine numbers stamped on un-ridged cases unlike the 350's?

I get whoever I purchase items from abroad to mark the items "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE, WARRANTY REPLACEMENT PARTS" so far I have never had to pay any fees or taxes, I have used this method for years with items from USA. It works for me. Which is fine IF sellers will do this, unfortunately a lot won't, and as they aren't the one's having to pay up they're not fussed.

If, as initially stated it’s a “new” loom - non genuine? I would suspect that the crimping is bad, maybe crimped partially over the outer sleeve, dab of solder on that joint would be a good idea.

There are supposed to be shims underneath the caps to remove slack, worth checking what , if any are there…….

I wonder if the main hole is too loose and allowing movement? having said that the outer case acts as a guide too, it would appear that there must have been something internal jamming the cog onto the casing? I would say that its repairable - engine will need to come out though.

Did they hand them back to you in that state without commenting at all about breaking the liner? I think even a novice would look at them with the bits missing and ask what went wrong? Re-lining isn't cheap but at least you know that it'll be a virgin size, other option is a S/H set with unknown history and needing a re-bore..............

I think that you’ll find the issue is the rubber neck of the sender itself has shrunk, the bottle won’t have changed unless someone has fiddled with it.

Originally the lens differed between the front and the back set. As well as that, the different cable lengths too.

Don't think they do really, you could drill the pin out and split them but you'd need to bolt them back together again, spring wise, nothing on the pegs other than the early type rubber is available as a spare part - not that you couldn't find something suitable but not straightforward.

There is no come back, end of story Caveat Emptor - buyer beware The only legal recourse you have is if the seller knew it was dodgy and deliberately mislead you First problem is you have had it 6 weeks. Even a used car dealer only gives 4 weeks and as it was a private sale there is no warranty Secondly the seller did not do the engine work himself so could not knowingly use crap parts or make a schoolboy error Thirdly it was rebuilt 18 months ago. It did run ok for a good while including a dyno run where having now heard from the dyno operator it did have problems but nothing major enough to refuse to run it up to speed Take it on the chin I'm afraid, strip the motor totally and do it right this time Steve I’m of the same opinion - I’m afraid that you don’t have anything to claim - under the stated circumstances.

Also those clear oil lines are known to have poorer clamping at the spigots, could be another one to look at.

I think if it sounds that bad it’ll be more than a top end rebuild. Questions would be - what crank seals were used, was the oil pump rebuilt or not at the same time. As Steve said if it’s been dyno’d then it’ll have been set up and running correctly.

Hi, I have seen new outter clock cases for lc 4lo but can you get them for 31k ypvs? Not from any Dealer any more, but very occasionally they come up for sale, either as a top case or a complete cases set, very very expensive though, you have to want them big style.

The fuse connections are prone to loosen now they’re older so even if the fuses are ok if there’s not enough spring tension holding them in that can cause voltage drops.

The rear caliper you have is the correct one for the LC2, those seals are incorrect. The outer seal is essentially a dust seal, who did you get them from? Powerhouse are usually decent quality as are the originals although more costly.
