Can anyone comment on how the stock f2 exhausts perform? Similar to stock 31k ? They look more expansion chamber design i wondered if they perform different. Cheers Rob 🙂

I also fitted tacho drive to this engine as I'm going to use it in the lc2 with mechanical tacho. It is a 1986 engine so came blanked off. The complete 350lc tacho drive is what I fitted And Is exactly same as the lc2 one. Also the barrels have had a fresh rebore 1.50mm They have been ported in the past so I'm intrigued to see how it runs. I'll be getting it on the dyno once all finished 👍

Abit more progress top end fitted, clocks, switch gear, grips, its starting to take shape 👍. A have a question about the clocks if anyone knows. The needles are a different colour speedo is white and others are yellow im suspecting a different speedo was fitted from original. Are the white ones just faded yellow ones? Or did they come with white and yellow? Cheers Rob

Great progress on that LC2. I'm a bit behind you with my build. What paint have you used on the crankcase and barrels?

It won't be far off I wouldn't of thought maybe weekend after 👍. The paint was simoniz gloss engine enamel. Pre heated oven to 120 degrees left it in for 30 mins then cranked it to 180 for 20mins. Total oven time 50mins. Did all my other bits in simoniz satin tough and baked them the same. Deffo worth baking it in my opinion goes like powdercoat. The calipers withstood brake fluid on them although I soon wiped it off and was dot 5. Cheers Rob 🙂

Exhaust hangers are next to spruce up, I tried getting the lacquer off with the wire wheel but it was taking forever so grabbed some paint stripper and it removed it in seconds. I will finish them off on scotch bright wheel. I'm tempted to use some of this paint stripper on my plastics that I'm having ago at plastic welding to remove all paint before I start. I don't want them melting away tho. Also I bought some vinyl paint and im going to have ago at spraying my seat. There are no rips anywhere just imperfections here and there that will not scrub off. Too good to recover but not good enough compared to the rest of the bike. Will post up results 👍🙂

Update on the seats i decided to just spray one for now plus the other one doesn't seem that bad now after I gave it another clean. It sprayed on realy good, giving it just a light dusting and working upto a heavier coat. Vital you start very light or it will not adhere properly. Well it looks good for now but time will tell if it holds up. Before & after Side by side pics

Looks impressive. I wonder how it looks after a few hours in the saddle. Fingers crossed, but don't wear your best jeans on first ride lol
