Probably just a yellow crayon, we used to do that in the past. I have similar problem, I guess my frame has been sand based a few times in its life and having just done it again the number is very faint, once its been powered coated its unlikely it'll be readable... I am not sure how to get over that, maybe tape over the number so its not powered coated then spray it with a rattle can. Any other suggestions welcome.

Thanks Gav, yes that going to be easier than I thought, just a case of getting right position, may have to put cases and barrels in and carbs to get right place.

So more questions i'm afraid , is there some kind of fixing on the frame for the airbag? looking at mine when I dismantled it looks as if there should be something on the front edge for the airbag to locate on. If its just a round peg I can get that welded on easy enough. Mind you, the airbag seemed quite rigid as it was just bolted on the back of battery box. Thanks. Seems according to the listing there is an Olive Drab dye for anodising too, but I realise the comment may have made the question sound strange, and thinking about it, why would you need to have Olive drab aluminium.

Just a question for all here, with the painted cases does the paint chip easily where the bolts tighten against it? I had some cases painted with two pack a while ago and when I tightened each bolt the paint chipped. Very annoying.

I guess values of older bikes will go up. I wonder if they will bring the road tax rules in line too?

Has anybody come across a company who can repair damaged pipes? I have Allspeeds on my project but ones is damaged through being slid down the road I'd say. I think it would need the whole section cut out and replaced, I guess its only a cone that needs rolling to match. There must be plenty of these damaged in peoples garages.

Hi guys, for the LC2 fairing mount could somebody confirm that the part circled is the Indicator mount and not the fairing mount. these bits are pretty bent up and would be tough to straighten, but as I don't intend to fit indicators hopefully it ok. IMG_1492 by Philip Millard, on Flickr

That is absolutely stunning, I love the look and attention to detail. What make are the handlebar clamps? I'd lie to use something like that but I fancied Fatbars.

Hi Steve, did you buy that bracket that finished a couple of days ago on eBay? nice and new... I too want to have the fairing, but wonder how to make it look right, maybe its not so bad with std bars mounted on the top yoke.
