So more questions i'm afraid , is there some kind of fixing on the frame for the airbag? looking at mine when I dismantled it looks as if there should be something on the front edge for the airbag to locate on. If its just a round peg I can get that welded on easy enough. Mind you, the airbag seemed quite rigid as it was just bolted on the back of battery box. Thanks. Hi Phil, yes i'm afraid you are missing the mounting points. I will try and get some pics at the weekend

Hi Phil Best pics I’ve got from my rebuild a while back, if you zoom in you can see what you’re missing....should be easy for a fabricator to make something.... hope this helps... Gav

Thanks Gav, yes that going to be easier than I thought, just a case of getting right position, may have to put cases and barrels in and carbs to get right place.

Was trying to measure from something to give a datum point, if you need measurements let me know where from, frame is pretty bare on mine for next couple of weeks!

Had this problem on my latest build and just carefully measured my other F2 for position and welded on 2 rods. Wasn't too bad in the end.

Is that a rubber over the peg??

Is that a rubber over the peg?? Yes just a flat cylinder type if that makes sense, (like a cut inner tube) makes the mounting point the same diameter so the airbx just slides onto it.
