Yes, on order now, he has my RGV yokes to modify too. Not sure what clocks to use though, I don't like the LC2 kidney ones much, and 4LO ones seem to go for crazy money. May go electric and modern.

I'll put some pics up when I start building. The frame is away being powder coated at the mo. Nothing to exciting, RGV front and rear, I'd like to just get it somewhere near right then let it evolve as funds allow. I'm just accumulating bits for now, get it a rolling chassis.

Sorry to jump in on this, so the lower joint needs to be from RGV not the YPVS one?

Yes, both washers are off, I did nearly miss the flat washer behind the spring washer.

Well its been on tension for 24hrs now, the end of the bolt is looking decidedly secondhand... and the bolt is actually bending, it defo doesn't want to move. The only thing I haven't tried is to heat it as I didnt want to damage anything but I guess thats my next move. I did try the impact gun this morning, needless to say it didnt work.

I have to agree, I've got an RD500 all in bits.. I'll build it one day, well I will if I stop buying other bikes that jump up the priority list.

Thanks guys, yes I have the proper extractor, ok I'll persist. Do you think the impact gun is worth a try? I just don't want to do any damage to the crank.

Hi All, anybody got any tricks for getting the flywheel off? I have the extractor its all looks good but no way will it move, Im worried about hitting the bolt on the extractor too hard in case it damage the thread on the crank. I've tried penetrating oils but no way is it moving. If I use the "windy gun" on the bolt is that likely to shock it enough to move??

the 10mm x1.25 is not the std 10mm thread, I believe only Yamaha and Honda use it, most others use 10x1.5 so alway check the pitch if buying 10mm.

Thanks Wang, I see the part number for the RGV unit is the same as the GSF600 (Bandit) and early RF600S. I ended up buying the RGV wheel on eBay.

Thanks. I guess I'd better buy GK76 OR VJ22 front wheel then.

Thanks Steve, front wheel will probably be either Bandit or GSXR, they seem to be more sensible prices. So do I assume I use the relevant speedo drive? I believe those wheel are the same as RGV anyway? AJ? code.

Hi, I have looked through the various threads but cant find the answer but found a lot of interesting info on my project, so can somebody confirm which speedo drives to use with RGV VJ23 forks, also which rear spindle for VJ22 arm, I'm guessing the std RGV spindle on the rear? I was going to use a Bandit 400 cush drive with my GSXR400 wheel. I read this was the correct combination?? Many thanks, Phil

As the title says, anybody know what the paint code or better still RAL code is for the red frame LC2? I am going to have it powder coated but so many colours!
Thanks.

I get the frame all welded and repaired thanks to all for the input, now just sorting RGV bottom yoke. Still cant decide what colour to do the bike, red frame or black. I do like the Kenny Roberts look but quite a few done already.

Any idea what the RAL code is for red, I assume the frame is the same red? I need to have my frame powder coated but they want to know the RAL code.
