The boxes are not Yamaha since it says "FOR YAMAHA"..... I had one very similar to check for quality, as they were very cheap....not bad for much cheapness.

I hope by now everyone knows to read what an eBay advert actually says carefully , not what they think it says.... That one is 100% accurate and 100% intended to mislead !

Apparently, they are a good budget piston, but need better (Japanese) rings, which is what I got, but not needed to use. Worth about £25 each when new.

Might have been fine back in the day, but why put a budget piston in a £1000 engine now?

I’m always suscipious of anything on eBay nowadays, I was scrolling through and came across a set of genuine mph 4lo clocks but....in the photo the mph face looks like it’s been refreshed but the Rev Counter Clock is faded in comparison so has it just had a mph face/sticker and is kph who knows ?? As per this ad it may be a genuine mistake but doubtful and as someone like myself who’s not really clued up on what the genuine packaging would of been it can be a costly mistake😬 this forum is great as the wealth off knowledge and advice that is offered is priceless👍

Its all ready been pointed out but when i first looked at the link i noticed that they are not gen yam . as 4LO4ever points out they say for YAMAHA its eazy to make the mistak as they all so say genuine parts as well on them but what they dont say in gen yam. i can get these pistons for about £25 each but i dont for a reason .
I just had a second look and you can see on both boxes were the sticker saying made i Taiwan has been scraped of . There is actualy nothing wrong with the pistons so long as you bore to the piston but i would not fit them rings they will snap .

Not to mention that Yama has (for decades ) only supplied the first 2 oversizes

Makes me smile the way it actually says ‘for yamaha’ and ‘standard’ in red where it would normally say genuine parts ....but because we are conditioned only to see the words in a similar fonts and colour to the Yamaha brand and all our brain is shouting at us is gen Yamaha packaging....
