is it just me or is it normal to keep changing your mind on these bike. i keep buying bits and then before i get around to fitting them i see what else can be done to these bikes. ( photos on here ) then i find my self buying more parts. hybrid parts! soon i will have 3x types of swing arms to choose from 2x sets of wheels. 2x sets of forks! standard/hybrid and so on. i think i have a RD problem!?

Haha, sounds familiar ! You are in the right place Get a second Lc and do that one a bit different to the first. That way you can get to use all your parts Dusty

Too easy to fall into that cycle (trap?) of buying bits for any eventuality. But it's Your $$ :-) Real issue is it gets in the way/delays completing the Bike and Enjoying/Riding it. Which is the best part of having one. Build it .. ride it. Then start exploring the 'alternate' paths... IF you still want to.

There are definitely some with a bigger rd problem than me lol ๐

Perfectly normal
My hybrid is on its second swing arm, second shock/linkage, second forks, second yokes, third set of wheels, second front brakes, third set of bodywork, second set of pipes, third set of clocks, second engine...
I could go on
Now looking at bikini fairing and belly pan ๐ถ

Iโve amassed most parts, but spreading myself thin trying to rebuild 3 bikes, instead of concentrating on 1 at a time ๐ I need to go and give my head a wobble!!

If it makes it any better I bought a std 350 and thought maybe just pipes and a few bits the pick of the M&P catalogue if you like then I thought hybrid having had a nice pv/LC/rgv before then ended up doing a 1980โs tribute with a Tz 700 top end and every conceivable trick bit from the 80โs including anti dive and 18 in magnesium wheels all the while spending money like itโs going out of fashion. Itโs still not finished and I am already planning on a brand new set of marchesini 5 spokes or dymags Just go with the flow whatever you build itโs another cool LC on the road but do not in any circumstances keep a tab of the cost itโll only depress you Good luck

I always seem to have half a bike. By a project , then another to compete the first. Get let over with stuff which just needs this and that...buy a pile of parts ...basic problem is clicking to buy it now is so much easier than picking up a spanner !

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem

if you have a problem, then under NO circumstances come to my garage, otherwise you'll walk out penniless and you won't have bought anything, but will be thinking about all of the parts you are going to buy and the bikes you are going to build !!
so many habve fallen into that trap and they blame me for some reason !!!
I have the same issue, just I tend to build them, then they just sit there waiting to be used !

It could be a lot worse...atleast we have sheds and attics full of โassetsโ and can joke about it. Itโs the folks who spend similar amounts and just stuff it up their nose that really need the help.

Ha ha I started off thinking Iโll buy a old lc tart it up a bit and ride it around for a bit of fun, Iโm now in the realms of building a completely brand new bike and I canโt stop looking for stuff I donโt really need ๐๐

I have to agree, I've got an RD500 all in bits.. I'll build it one day, well I will if I stop buying other bikes that jump up the priority list.

It just dawned on me last night that with the arrival of a second 400E project, I now have 10 bikes but as mentioned elsewhere, Iโm not unhappy about it.
As I have most of the parts I need to restore them, itโs just about finding the time to get on with it! ๐ณ
