Well, here we go again, after last years RGV Tyga build, the wife has let me build another bike in the kitchen! It's a N1 hybrid with RGV front end and Modified swinger to take a Belgarda 3.5 inch rear, it'll get some tuned barrels and PWKs but the engine is mot getting touched until the chassis is a roller. Paintwork is done and seat away getting re-covered. I got the rolling chassis from Bezzer (cheers mate) a few months back and i've been squirreling parts away ever since (N1 clocks, headlight bracket, headlight etc). So onwards and upwards with another labour of love, it'll be ready for a thrashing round Cadwell in June. Will keep updating as i go. Andy. soooo jealous.... im not even allowed to build a model bike in the kitchen. Mind you, there is "just popping up the cave for 10 Minutes dear" and re-appearing 6 hours later scenario which does happen quite often. lol
anyway, the bike is looking great there fella. I'll see it at Cadwell then.

Pulled the valves out of the Triumph on the kitchen floor.......... while Missus was out !
I do have my Kenny painted tank and panels on the wardrobe though and engines cases under the stairs , oh and a complete bottom end in my old wardrobe at my Moms LOL
That N1 paint job is one of the best though :-)

I partially built my Rd400 in my bedroom when I lived at my parents house When my missus moved in with us - we were saving for our first house - she would hang clothes on the handlebars and pile the ironing on the NOS tank I had to re educate her !! Getting the bike down the stairs when we moved out was hilarious as we had to negotiate a half landing with a 180 degree turn !! So pleased I hadn't fitted the wheels !! Dusty

Well, bit more progress today, two and a half hours sorting the ignition switch so it doesn't foul the little bracket on front of the headstock, cdi and reg/rec mounted, water bottle and filler cap fitted and all new grommets fitted, small stuff but edges me closer to the finish line. Heating set at a mild 20 degrees, yes i am indeed a lucky sod! SAM_3144 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr SAM_3143 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr

The builds going great Andy, your Missus is a good 'un letting you work in the Kitchen!. The kettle would be my downfall if I tried a kitchen build, I'm slow enough as it is!!.
Good luck with it Pal.

Bit more progress, re-furbed the footrest plates, new bushes pressed in, fitted Brembo radial cylinder, clutch lever and rear master cylinder, mocked up rear caliper and tail unit to check alignment with seat on, fits a treat and is starting to look like a bike! Well, bit more progress, wheels are on, Belgarda went in perfectly spaced after the second time of asking, knew front was no bother, had to space rear caliper with a washer on the inside of each bolt but now aligned spot on. Crank ordered, so on with the engine re-build next, waiting on a box of goodies from Norbo to get the chassis finished. Andy. So, clock brackets arrived from M&P, got them mounted with some butchered 3HM1 brackets which i had powder coated, pleased with how it looks, got a good headlight from Japan to go on, but also got a new old stock black rim coming, so looking at a new bowl as well. Only issue is i've lost all power when i turn the key, can't be much, so out with the tester! Crank should be here Tuesday from Italy, then it's on with the engine! Andy. Had a look at the electrics today and found the live from the battery bullet connector pulled out, easy fix so well pleased, further gremlins when i plug my indicator relay in, but found yellow and green plugged into wrong wire, again simple fix. Got front indicators on and found RH Rear knackered, so new one ordered. Couldn't resist trying on the bodywork for a test fit! Andy.
