Guys are the bushes supposed to have any play in them when fitted over ends of the powervalves minus castle seals? I've bought new valves and seals and was just going to reuse the bushes but when I've came to fit them I've noticed a bit of play in them. Thoughts pleaseπ

Guys just left Grampian motors after my crank rebuild and rebore, the mitaka pistons says 4lo 31k on the box I asked the guys if these were the correct ones for an f2 and they've assured me they are ? can anyone confirm this please, only difference I can see is the cutouts on piston skirt for intake isn't as high as the old ones? Thanks antos

Well I got them out by cutting virtually right through with the dremmel, (used a grinding wheel) then bust through with a chisel π

Thanks ladsπ And Matt your spot on there's no lip whatsoever to get a purchase on, I don't want to weld anything on ( but would be ideal way to get it out) as itl melt the powder coat , I think trying to dremmel a cut through it might be my only option here . Thanks again guys.

Needing a bit advice lads please, I've got tapered head bearings fitted and I've had the frame newly powder coated, trouble is the races are now buggered due to process that's been done. So I need to buy new bearings and races but how do I get out the old races as there's nothing to get a punch onto to knock em out? Thanks antos

Cheers guys, yea I made the mistake of copying what the previous owner had done when fitting the seal , so he'd had the bugger in upside down.

Just for any other numptys reading this as Tony told me, make sure the seal is in the right way round! Writing facing up over when in position. Then it won't leak ha. Thanks again Tony π

So decided to strip the forks as previous owner had hammered a screwdriver into the seal? No idea why. Anyway I've replaced the top and bottom bushes and fitted a new seal (from yambits) filled up with oil and the ?wats leaking past the seal when I'm pumping the leg. What you reckon guys shitty seal or stanction? There's a few very slight marks in the chrome but nothing I'd consider bad enough for it to leak.π

Many thanks dustyπ I do have a set of metric taps but suppose old bolts in the holes would save me tapping the all out again. Great tip.
