So decided to strip the forks as previous owner had hammered a screwdriver into the seal? No idea why. Anyway I've replaced the top and bottom bushes and fitted a new seal (from yambits) filled up with oil and the ?wats leaking past the seal when I'm pumping the leg. What you reckon guys shitty seal or stanction? There's a few very slight marks in the chrome but nothing I'd consider bad enough for it to leak.π

Just for any other numptys reading this as Tony told me, make sure the seal is in the right way round! Writing facing up over when in position. Then it won't leak ha. Thanks again Tony π

Ermmm The infamous (at least used to be :-) Yambits Seals. In years past few of their seals worked. Stuff of legend actually. Seriously suggest buying/refitting Quality seals.

Cheers guys, yea I made the mistake of copying what the previous owner had done when fitting the seal , so he'd had the bugger in upside down.

please buy genuine seals otherwise you will be back doing this again in no time at all, I've probably done 6 sets of forks in the last 8 weeks for people, all done last year with pattern seals (probably from shambits) - all fitted correctly by various other mechanics, but just sh*te seals
buy cheap, buy twice........
