No they aren't.
I seem to think Drewski has a 250 set, that he wanted to sell on, but different to 350 ones

Hi, what's the thinking on having one cyl. std. and the other +.25 on LC 350? John. Weigh the pistons accurately. If about the same, I wouldn't worry about it. These bikes aren't a precision bit of kit, the crank is balanced for 250 pistons anyway, can't see how a tiny bit more / less would make any odds.

I reckon the r/r is goosed. Test of the rect seems OK, but you really need another to compare with.
Thing to bear in mind, is the ignition is nowt to do with the battery or charging system, so if the battery is running down when the bike is switched on / running, then the electricity is going somewhere. My guess is it's being lost by the r/r as heat.
Does it feel hot ?
If your meter has a 10A scale, put it in series with the battery, see if there is any significant current drain with the ignition switch on, but nothing switched on, IE in gear, lights off etc. If there is, disconnect the r/r see if the drain disappears.

It has pipes both sides
No - it's a supermoto, got sticky 17" road tyres on it.

1.8 MOhm is not OK That's as good as disconnected at 12V
Did you test using the right setting on your multimeter? There's usually a setting with a piccy of a diode on it, or similar. You need to use this, so as to have the voltage to bias the diodes on.
However, after all this, isn't yours a combined reg / rect? not seen them separate on PVs. If so, not sure how much you can trust the test readings anyway, as you are testing through the regulator. Stuffing 12V up it in the wrong direction is unlikely to have done it much good.

Thanks for the reply Norbo, I like the sound of using the LC2 pv forks with the LC t & b yokes, also looking to sort out a new caliper/disc set-up for a bit more stopping power but keeping a single disc lay-out on the standard LC wheel, any idea's?. Have a look at FZR250 / early TZR250s. 35mm forks, same as a PV, but just the 1 huge disk. I have this setup and an R1 blue spot calliper on my unfinished PV project.

It all depends on the make
Some are sized, metric or imperial.
Others are done by flow, number of CCs of a particular fluid of known viscosity from a known height for a length of time.
I think Mikuni use 1 and Keihin the other, but can't remember which.
Use a magnifying glass, only way I can read small stuff nowadays, age & all that

it was dry enough in the lane yesterday to ride this, totally flat as a fart below 5k, no idea what jets are in there, 1 carb floods at will. the thing flies above 5k. i may well junk the lot n bung some 31k carbs on as i really cant be arsed with tampering around with these mickey mouse things Give you a tenner for yours then.

My Hybrid is similar set up
Mild Mick Abbey tune, PWK's on Vforce3 reeds, foam filters, and those SPEX pipes Drewski brought in from Japan
I'm on 140 mains and 38 pilots, if I remember correctly. Standard KR1S needles as far as I know, set in the middle. Float height untouched from Kawasaki settings and air screws 1.5 turns out.
Runs great, maybe a touch rich, but rather that than the other way round.
It ran similar to yours when I first put it together, couldn't get it to run right until I junked the standard air box.
So I guess you're still way too rich.
The 2 burnt pistons I suffered from were due to the stingers being too small, not carbs.
Hope this helps, good luck with it. I got all my jets etc from Z1enterprises in the states. As quick to deliver as Allens, far far cheaper & much easier to deal with.

FZR/TZR/N2 clocks on my LC with KR1S front end read c**k-on according to GPS. Just a lucky coincidence I guess.

in my experience ebike are cheapest & easiest to sort a hybrid out (never had to claim or send them paperwork though) but CN are the only ones to offer foreign breakdown on classics.
A mates T120 broke a piston in the South of France, CN were excellent at rescuing him and repatriating the bike. Worth considering if you're off abroad.

Are you sure it is getting that hot? I had a similar prob, turned out to be a battery voltage issue, the more the voltage went up the hotter it pretended to run. Fixed the r/r and normal service was resumed.
A work around was to leave the lights on all the time, so all that spare electrickery has somewhere to go.

Have you put the float bowls on the correct carbs?
Only the lh one has a choke jet in it, so wrong way round, means no choke.

When I needed PWK jets I used www.z1enterprises.com/Cheaper than Allens, even with delivery from the states, arrived within the week, and no dealing with their legendary "customer service" That said, the last time I used Allens, they were OK, maybe it depends who picks the phone up. I'd use Z1 for cheap to post items though.

I got a (still lit) fag end chucked in to my crotch from a stationary car, as I filtered through the traffic.
I managed to grab it & chuck it through their window onto the back seat, just as the lights changed.
All I could see was them scrabbling into the back of the car as I set off....

If you are going to blank the bypass hose off, you'll need to engineer a way for the expanding water to leave the engine, before the 'stat opens.
Easiest way is to drill a small hole in the 'stat body.
I've done this & it works fine.

I'm sure it's not best engineering practice, but it wouldn't worry me overly.
I'd be most worried about any difference in piston weight, rather than the tiny bit more power the bigger side may have. If you have accurate scales, or know a local friendly drug dealer, weigh the pistons & rings.
