Last time I used the Parcelfarce pickup service when they were supposed to bring the label, they turned up at the seller's house without the label (the seller had waited in especially for the pickup). The Driver refused to take it because it wasn't labelled, then when I rung up customer services to sort it, they said that the time of day I'd booked it, it didn't leave enough time for the driver to print a label, so he just went without it so he could say he'd tried to collect.
Complete Morons lol

I cut my Fuse Box out and soldered in a modern in-line fuse holder for each circuit. That's the best way to get rid of re-occurring connection problems, unless you want to keep it original of course .

Whilst they do the job perfectly, I thought the ones from Norbo were just flat section without the reinforcement crease the genuine ones have ?.
I think he's currently out of stock anyway ?.

It may have finished at that figure but was the transaction actually completed I wonder? Maybe it will be relisted again?? You were right, the sale didn't go thorough, it's up for sale again

That's why we moved to the Isle of Man. Most of the year about 60% of the roads have no speed limits (including from Ramsey Hairpin all the way to Hillberry), so you can go for a proper blast without the fear of Jail time.
It's only a matter of time before the Eco snowflakes over there stop it by introducing Island wide speed limits (they are trying and will succeed at some point) but until then I will enjoy it.

I can't for the life of me understand why you'd build a bike that trick and potentially valuable, with an engine with numbers ground off and a frame number that can't be read ?. Many years ago, when I purchased my X7 and realised when I got home, that I'd totally forgotten to check the frame number against the V5 . When I checked, it couldn't be read at all from being heavily powder coated over. I used another X7 to locate exactly where it should be, masked it off, then carefully got the powder coat off where the number should have been. Thankfully, the numbers were perfect and correct, so it could be the case with this frame, if someone takes the time to get the coating/paint off ?.

If they are new casings and never been stamped then fine, but if the numbers have been ground off to hide the identity, then there's only one reason to do that . I'd certainly not be buying a bike for £13.5k with the engine numbers ground off

Has anyone read the "How to spot the perfect LC today" article in MCN this week ?. I'm no expert but I'm reading quite a few things that are not my experience. Like No. "1 - Paint, Panels and Finish" - "Tanks rot through but you can buy Indian-built pattern tanks for £300 that are very good". I think it also says the riveted on alloy vin plate must match the frame and engine number! I haven’t seen an alloy vin plate on a 4l0 or 4l1 but I’m probably wrong Was that on Imports maybe, not UK bikes ?.

I always use Chemical Metal by Plastic Padding in the yellow metal tins.
It's a nice consistency to fill with and resistant to most things, including fuel.

I've always though that the tanks vent through the fuel Cap itself and that hole drains out any water or fuel that accumulates there to stop it getting in the tank ?.

When I did mine, I fitted the brackets over the frame, then used longer bolts I sourced with spacer tubes between the inside of the belly pan and the frame brackets to hold the belly plan just far enough away from the pipes.

What a quality piece of text in this guy's description. He's being totally clear what he's selling but funny all the same "FOR SALE THIS UNIQUE MATCHING NUMBERED UNRESTORED RARE PRO-AM SERIES SPECIFICATION RD350 LC !! NOW BEFORE I GO ANY FURTHER THIS IS A GERMAN IMPORT THAT WAS IMPORTED INTO THE UK IN 2004 AND IT STARTED OFF LIFE AS A 4L1 250 LC BUT HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY CONVERTED FROM A 250 TO A 350 ALL EXCEPT FOR THE REAR WHEEL` AND IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY REGISTERED AS 347cc WITH MATCHING 4L1 NUMBERS ON THE UK V5c LOGBOOK, ( BUT UNLESS YOU ARE A RIVET COUNTING ANARACK WHO JUST LIKES TO CHAT S**T ON THE FORUMS INSTEAD OF GETTING ON WITH RIDING YOUR LC THEN THIS DOESNT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER !!!" No, of course it doesn't make any difference at all if you're selling a UK matching numbers 4L0 350LC or an import matching numbers 4L1 250LC, so stop talking s**t on this forum and get riding your LC www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1980-YAMAHA-RD350-LC-17-000-MLS-RARE-PRO-AM-SERIES-SPECIFICATION/174103937692?hash=item288967429c:g:Ph0AAOSw~WJd1~BFUnrestored it may be, but some plank has still fitted a non standard chainguard decal LOL OEB I thought the UK bikes didn't have that chain guard decal but some countries did ?.

Trying to order this but I can't see an LC magazine anywhere... Alex ?? The link is to Classicmagazines for 3 months of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics for £5 Looks like it has been copied from the LC Club site or group, that's the only reason there's an LC picture on the initial post ?

Looks ok.
If you delete the second set of code which starts roughly in the middle of the code string (remove everything after the middle [/url], it will stop publishing your name and advertising flickr underneath each picture lol.

If you bought it a while back then you probably didnt pay todays prices, so that's ok.. plus youve loved it for this long so this wont be an issue. as you said before, just enjoy it Matching numbers is really for those who want something that is (or will be) perfect. Few of our bikes ever are or were as soon as we got them. Bikes are for enjoying, numbers are for investment. That’s true I still enjoying riding it I was thinking about selling but guess I should keep it now bloody shame that Just put it up for sale as a non-matching bike. It won't make that much difference and there's plenty on here that won't be bothered about numbers (as long as it's not over-priced) lol

Lovely R1 - What's it like living on the IOM, all year round? Hi, yeah thanks. I had a K5 GSX-R1000 before this R1, which was a nicer all-round bike I suppose but this feels sharper and much more focused. Has a full Akro system, Airbox mods and custom Power Commander setup giving 172rwhp. Goes ok . We only moved over officially in January but the long term plan is to be here from early Spring until the end of Autumn each year and the winter 4/5 months between the UK and southern Spain. It's a beautiful place to live, never-ending places to go/see/visit, very few people about generally, no real rush hour to contend with and plenty of roads with no speed limits to enjoy. The best bit, is I can get the bikes out the garage, let em warm up for a bit, then straight over the Mountain. Weather isn't as nice as down south in general and it can be windy sometimes (well it is a small island in the middle of the Irish Sea lol) but there's plenty of nice enough days to do all the outdoor activity you want and plenty to do when it's shite lol

I'd take a guess he's not local. Never seen the bike running around over here. Not many locals would ride like that through the speed restricted areas. He's going flat out through the gears in some 30mph limits in that video
