I live in Ramsey most of the time. I know the entire course pretty well but the Mountain section (unrestricted starts earlier when TT not on) like the back of my hand . Fantastic on summer evenings when what little rush hours traffic there is has finished. Almost got the entire Mountain section to yourself.

Brilliant, never try to keep up with a locally registered bike

I'd take a guess he's not local. Never seen the bike running around over here. Not many locals would ride like that through the speed restricted areas. He's going flat out through the gears in some 30mph limits in that video

Love videos like that, feels like you are there and on the bike. Great rider, and nothing kept up with him (though one bike had a go with a minute left of the film!)

Lovely R1 - What's it like living on the IOM, all year round? Hi, yeah thanks. I had a K5 GSX-R1000 before this R1, which was a nicer all-round bike I suppose but this feels sharper and much more focused. Has a full Akro system, Airbox mods and custom Power Commander setup giving 172rwhp. Goes ok . We only moved over officially in January but the long term plan is to be here from early Spring until the end of Autumn each year and the winter 4/5 months between the UK and southern Spain. It's a beautiful place to live, never-ending places to go/see/visit, very few people about generally, no real rush hour to contend with and plenty of roads with no speed limits to enjoy. The best bit, is I can get the bikes out the garage, let em warm up for a bit, then straight over the Mountain. Weather isn't as nice as down south in general and it can be windy sometimes (well it is a small island in the middle of the Irish Sea lol) but there's plenty of nice enough days to do all the outdoor activity you want and plenty to do when it's shite lol

Great video/ Not sure whats been done to the bike engine wise but it can sure as hell move the dust. It sort of reminds me of the "giant killing" abilities of the RD,s back in the 80,s with a modern twist.
