I report these listings too, not that ebay seem to do much about them...

I read somewhere that there is a guy who 3D prints replacement ones. Does anyone have his contact details?

This tank and seat base came with my 31K. They are of no use to me so if anyone wants them they are all yours. Collection from Chatham, Kent or arrange a courier.

I am starting the engine rebuild on my 31K project. I’ve done an LC engine before but the powervalves on the 31K engine are giving me heartburn. What should I do with them? Replace? If not, which bits should I change?
The bike ran fine before I stripped it but it does have 20k+ miles on it so I am giving it a refresh (and a long stroke crank conversion) as part of the rebuild.

The crank was from Norbo, not Norfolk. Bloody auto correct!

So my 250 with 370 Fahron conversion is done. Refurbished crank from Norfolk, oil pump done by Arrow, Mutts mid range pipes, Zeltronic black boxes and set up by RSK 2 strokes. It runs great, I am really enjoying it and have put about 1k miles on it since the rebuild. The question is, what sort of engine maintenance is required In the future? For example, how often to change the gearbox oil? When does the oil pump need adjusting? When do I need to replace piston rings / pistons? I use fully synthetic 2 stroke oil, use it sparingly for ride outs on sunny days.

Stunning! You may just have inspired me to go a similar way with my LC2 build. Or to buy this bike if you decide to sell it!😉 Let me know if you do.

RSK 2 Strokes in Headcorn An 8 hour long haul flight delay and a successful compensation claim resulted in just over £500 hitting my account. This windfall was quickly invested in a set of Mutt’s mid range pipes and off I went to RSK 2 Strokes. They are a bit off the beaten track but worth the dodgy country lanes to get there. The initial run with stock pipes, my best guess jetting and, as it turned out, grotty emulsion tubes and plug caps that arced, gave all of 27bhp. A bit disappointing for a 370 conversion! Me, not knowing any better, thought it ran fine... However, they persevered and the end result is 48.5bhp! Took it for a spin today and wow, a completely different bike! Very happy! A big thumbs up for RSK. Helpful, nice to deal with and, I thought, good value.

The latest design for the LC mid range pipes are no longer cross overs, the new ones are a straight header pipe on each side now, bit more development has been done on them These are LC (250/350 - 4L1, 4L0) specific pipes and will NOT work on a YPVS engined bike - had a few people try this, despite being told not to ! - oh well.......... Out of curiosity, why would they not work properly on a ypvs. F2 pipes work on an LC. I know the brackets are slightly different. I quite fancy a set of midrange smokers for my ypvs, thanks Leigh Pics? Also, are the cross over ones still available? I really liked the look of them.

I’m about to order some pipes from Muttsnuts of this parish and want to get the bike properly set up once I have fitted them. I’d love to have Dave do it but he is a 500+ mile round trip away so I’d prefer to find a dyno that knows LCs closer to home. Any recommendations? Hi. Just curious which pipes your going for. I’m going to get some but haven’t decided between mid range or all round for my 4lo. I too am in Kent so let us know how you get on. Thanks. Steve I’m going for the midrange pipes.

Thanks for the recommendations! Has anyone used RSK? Their website isn't terribly informative... Also, any feedback on kit-kat would be appreciated.

Thanks for alll the replies.
It has been bled properly, there is no squishyness, just a lack of power and feel. The disc is the original one that came on the bike. It looks fine, is straight and within tolerance. The pads are those that came with the calliper so I may try changing those first. That said, the wooden feeling makes me suspect that the master cylinder isn’t right. Is the standard M/C on a 250 1/2”?

When putting my 250 LC together I decided the standard calliper looked a bit weedy and put a R1 blue spot on, using an adapted from NK Racing. I am using the stock master cylinder (after a rebuild). Problem is, the brakes are still sh*t.
Do I need a different master cylinder?

It doesn’t leak but it is a bit worse than it looks in the picture I originally posted as that doesn’t show the ridge on the right side...

Are there less sh*t reproduction tanks out there or is this as good as it gets?

You have a point!
It won’t be going on the restored bike.

Please ignore my swap request! Following yogiburr’s comments I had another, closer look at the black tank and realised it is a bit of a “Frankenstein” where the top half is F2 mated to an LC2 bottom side. It fits the bike but, when it’s on, the stock seat no longer fits, although the strange seat base that also came with the bike does, creating this... Looks like I’ll have to find an LC2 tank with out the benefit of a part exchange...
