I can't really help you with your query but don't worry mate, I dribble and piss myself every night after about eight Stella. My Mrs always cleans me up for when we have to go out the house. It's class.

I'm running into some of the problems that you're having.
It's good to know that other people have had similar problems and have overcome them; that's why this forum is so good.
Good luck with the project mate.

Had another look at it and it is not super bad; it's still bent though. Thanks for the suggestions above gents. I'm not sure whether a bit of 3x2 would do it, going to ask one of my mates if they have a meaty bit of solid steel. Any suggestions about how to hold the bugger down?
Also, one of the subframe tubes has a split in it near to the shock mount. I assume this will have been cuased when the subframe was bent. Is it safe to assume I just need to weld the seam up after I've bent it back?
Thanks
Nico

I've just figured that the rear of my F2 frame is slightly bent ie one rail is higher than the other. I never noticed it before asI've not looked at it underneath from the back with the sidepanels on.
I don't want to bin the frame as it has been modified to suit a single sided swingarm.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this?
Thanks
Nico

Absolutely brilliant film. I was getting nervous at the start when the camera was on a bike pointing down Bray Hill. Absolute legends the people who ride in the TT.
Go and see it ASAP. How often do you get the chance to see a film about bikes in 3D at the cinema.

I once seen a woman faint because it was so hot and busy. I turned around and she was sparko on the floor. Initially I thought she has tripped over my mates bike boots as he had left them on the floor but turns out she had just threw a dogshit wobbler because of the heat. It's not really my cup o'tea but a fun day out if you've not been.

Take care mate.

I'm after getting some pipes made up by Kenny but I'm umming and ahhing about what rearsets to use. I'm not sure if the standard rearsets will fit as I have an RVF400 back end fitted. Does anyone have a tatty set they want to sell (RD350 YPVS F2) or have any suggestions on what to look at?
Cheers
Nico

I'm rebuilding some calipers next week when I'm off, I'll try and post something mate. Pistons seized in the caliper for the last ten years are a bugger to get out though so bear with me.

Norbo, can you give me a bit more information about the cranks that you stock in the shop?
Thanks

I think that Gary has got it bang on; I don't want to have to strip the engine again after a couple of rides as something has gone wrong. One thing I have learnt with building bikes is do things properly and it should prevent headaches later on.
What are the YPCS cranks Norbo?

I want the engine to be right when I do it. When I say 'standard' I mean that it has not been bored to put bigger than 350 pistons in. I don't know anything about the crank that is in there as I don't know the history of the engine.
My pockets aren't very deep, and they usually have holes in.
By the way tout, I bought my RD frame from you off ebay about four years ago! It's taken a while but I'm getting there with it.

Now then, I will be rebuilding my engine in the summer and want to know which way to go with the crankshaft. I have a 1WT engine on standard 1.00 pistons. I will be running PWK28's and non-standard exhausts.
Is it best to get the stock crankshaft rebuilt (and if so can anyone suggest somewhere) or should I look at getting a new fangled one from USA/Australia?
Norbo, can you give us all some information about the crankshafts you stock in the shop?
Thanks
Nico

I checked a set of F2 calipers and they are are M7 x 1.00 on the front; don't have rear brake so can't check that.

When I got my last frame powder coated I just used threaded rod and washers and blocked all the holes up where there were bearings instead of removing them. I cleaned all the grease out of them first though. Rides like a dream now.
