Hi Everyone Firstly you will have to excuse me if i dont know all the correct terminology as this is my first rd/ypvs i have ever bought. so here goes... ive just picked up my bike(yesterday) its a 88 f2 with matching numbers. problem is someone in the past has put a single seat conversion on it (badly) i would like to turn it back into original seat format there seems to be a few lugs/brackets missing form behind and back of the seat catch..... so does anybody know if you can buy frame weld on parts or is it a case of donor frame to take them off? thanks Scotty

welcom scotty, yeah u can either make up brackets yourself that are mssing or buy a scrap frame and cut bits off it.either way do all welding grinding bodging before you powder coat frame. if u have a scrap frame that would prob be easiest or ask on here im sure someone has 1.... cheers lco

That does look horable at the back end . you need a set of under seat side pannels and a back joint pice . The singkle seat thing will just come of and leave the seat.
have you had a good look to see if anything has been cut of . I think with the pannels you should be ok .

Ha, well done mate. I was watching this one myself, it was only the intervention from Mrs Lovelydog (reminding me I still owe her money for my boat parts that I'd put on her credit card) that stopped me bidding. I think you've done alright there and hope she turns out to be a beauty. Nothing that a pipe bender and a welder can't sort out. My mate reckons it be put right easily and cheaply. Good luck, enjoy her.

1UA panels will fit fine As for the lugs best take some pictures and post them up, you will have a couple of options, either make your own replacements or get a scrap frame that has them and swap them over.

Then theres another section of mudguard/tool tray that mounts to that and the rear section where the side panels also fix to. The rear bracket is bolted onto back of frame by 4 small bolts and yes the indicators mount to that m8
