Looks great Dusty, some good creative stuff, sometimes doing a budget build makes you think outside the box!
I've a box of old clock wiring looms, mostly not LC but provides a good source of donor connectors if you need any, I may have.

All looking good Al. I think its more of a 3D printing project than a bike project though. Lol. Keep up the great work.

Welcome to the forum Nick. Some good advice for the head gasket. Often need retorquing after a few heat cycles, so hopefully that will sort it.
I convert a lot of clocks from km to miles if this is something you are looking for, if so just drop me a PM.
Enjoy the bike, you made a good choice! Shaun.

I dropped to a 4 day week a year ago and was best thing I did. I hardly notice the drop in salary, and having paid off my mortgage a few years back, its not that important anyway. For a reduction of 20% on my working week I get a 50% increase in my weekend, so a great trade off.
It would be difficult to drop to a 3 day week as the projects I get involved in don't stop, and it gets difficult to control and would be more stressful constantly catching up. A 4 day work week is manageable.
I plan doing it for 1 or 2 more years, then retire fully.
I hope things work out for you Bill, but if you don't ask nor try it, you never know. Good luck. Shaun.

... and if the wife is for sale, you have to put up a price otherwise you get a stern message from Dusty!

Just read the thread Bill, I bet you are a bit gutted with the fit after the Xmas excitement of getting such a fabulous gift. It's probably a good job the wife didn't fit them for you!
Hope you get something sorted and you get to enjoy using them in the Spring.
HNY.

HNY to all. Mine was far from sober. Dry January is quite appealing at the mo. 🤢

I've had my 675R 2014 model for a few years now, really enjoy the bike, but time for an upgrade. I won't buy new (Yorkshireman!) but fancy the newer model, so interested in how you get on with the 765's.

Don't worry, I think you have a good budget for what you are wanting. Probably due to xmas holiday season, many people spending too much time elsewhere, I'm sure you will get a few decent offers/suggestions. Good luck with it.

I got a newer bike (2022 Triumph Street Tripe 765 RS). I also got myself some new paddock stand bobbins, a new Arrow Exhaust and a shorter number plate holder. Looks lovely. Let me know how you get on with it as being thinking about upgrading my 675 too.

Yes just one per carb. 4.5mm dia. Plenty info on here if you search. Quite straight forward to do with often a large return.

If no holes, you have 2 RH bowls, hence why choke not working.

The LH choke carb should have the bowl with the extra hole. I'd be taking the brass balls out and cleaning the air circuit if I was you. And are you using genuine parts? some poor quality rebuild kits about.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I am looking to convert a German Speedo and this is the only reference I’ve found. Does anyone know where I can buy the two shafts mentioned to convert the Speedo to mph Also what’s the best way to change the face? Sticker etc Thanks Steve Steve, This is a service I offer if you don't want to do yourself. Just PM me for details. I also have a set of parts (2 x gears, SH 120mph facia, and SH needle) that I can sell you if you want to do yourself. You can buy new solid facias from Simon Wells (Katherine Wells on eBay) if you want a new one, but you need to transfer the needle stop from your km facia to the mph one. I do not like using the thin overlays, you need to remove all the old markings from your old facia to prevent ghosting, and its almost impossible to get them to fit without some bubbles or crease. the rigids are a little bit more expensive but a better option in my opinion. Shaun.

Take a picture of the person collecting, that will spook them if not genuine.

Agreed it's one for the love of the resto not for financial reasons. You probably spend £6000-£7000 on it plus 250-300 man hours which if it stays as a 250 will be worth maybe £7000-£7500 when done to top standard.

Enjoyed that read thanks Dusty. I'd love to ride one, but wouldn't pay the £33k for it. I wonder if they will hold value?

A new 350LC was around £1100 in 1981 I believe.

About half the cost of the full bike when new.
