I'm hanging onto my teeth like the rest of you gummy bears đ» I had all my back teeth filled in my late teens early twenties then got one gold crown on 2nd replacement. Lost half a front tooth at Damned concert and had that repaired. My dentist has told me my gums are the problem and have receded to a point that the teeth can loosen đ Once they have receded then that's it,you don't get it back. I use a tooth paste called Corsodyl for gums and sensodyne pronamel and lots of little flossing brushes. But I think a case of shutting the door after the hoss has already bolted ! So my advice looking after your gums is as important Iâve got the opposite problem. My jaw is âTaurus mandibularisâ. Itâs braced all over. My dentist hopes I never need one pulled as he doesnât know if be able to do it. If I eventually need a crown on my back lower teeth, they might have to shave the jaw bone down first! Jon

Itâs a shit design. They should have moulded it around a hexagon rather than splines IMO.
It makes me wonder if the impellor is actually moulded around the splines shaft, or itâs heated up and pressed into the plastic? Any witness marks?

Iâll try and explain.
The white plug you show on the loom has male pins. It also clearly shows an orange wire. This is to the coils. It should connect to a female pin white plug on the CDI. I think yours has been chopped off and replaced with 1/4â spade connectors?
The black male 3 pin connector from the CDI should go to another connector on the stator plate with black, brown and red wires.

OK, your pictures are not that clear with the wire colours covered by you fingers, but Iâm starting to think the loom is correct?
It was the fact you mentioned about web images being wrong? Surely you would make a loom from checking components not the web?
Anyway I think itâs that CDI thatâs been butchered. The plug it should fit into has been chopped off by the looks of it. No wonder the coil connector seemed wrong also.
They should be a male and female 3 pin connector on both the loom and the coil. The reason the plugs are black and white is probably to stop some idiot plugging it in incorrectly without looking at the corresponding wire colours?

How can they question photographic evidence?

Thatâs pretty poor to have the wrong terminal on. I suspect Legend donât build them themselves? But whoever is, is not paying attention. All the same itâs their reputation for poor products, and there have been a few.
Most people who buy new looms are doing so because they canât repair or build one themselves?
Why not phone Legend and see if they will sort it out for you?

I been scratching my head recently on building a new LC loom. But itâs more to do with the self cancelling wiring. A wrong connector is definitely not right.

Hi all,
A week or so ago there was a thread on the small C clip on the transmission be available as a superseded part.
I tried the search but must be using the wrong words.
Can anyone remember where it was?

Nice bike. Out of interest have you had it MOTâd yet?
Yours is the second bike Iâve seen this week with a dual seat and no rear footpegs. I thought that was an MOT no-no?
ps you need to get some new footrest bolts ASAP.

âFirst I need to find out why the water pump ain't working.â
The water wasnât working properly on my 250LC. Turned out to be the impeller spinning on the splines of the shaft. Wonder if yours is the same?

Well, they arrived, the 4lb lump hammer was found and an idler gear became the home for a lovely new glacier bush. Before and after in the video link below. Is it better? Not sure..... Maybe a bit? Will find out when it's running. I replaced one too no wasnât overly impressed with the improvement. I will be turning a custom bush from phosphor bronze next time. Jon

I understand that this thread is about the NK jack up kit for a standard LC swingarm. Therefore its characteristic short wheelbase may be affected more by jacking it up a bit?
However I can tell you when I turned my LC from standard into a hybrid with a jacked up TZR arm it certainly didnât turn in quicker, or become more twitchy. In fact the handling was improved IMO. Much less twitchy. Then again I also had TZR forks so it was probably raised front and rear.
Totally agree with suspension/geometry to suit the rider. Iâm 6â3â and 113kg, so a standard LC jacked up probably is around the same as ride height as someone of less stature/bulk on a standard LC when I sit on it.
So IMO trying the NK kit is relatively heap and little work. As said if itâs not for you move it on. Sure you may loose ÂŁ30+ quid, but at least youâll know if it doesnât work for you.

I have some of Norboâs stainless hex head and flange bolts for the side cases etc. now these are being used for aesthetic reasons. However I will be spraying the threads with liquid PTFE before fitting to the aluminium cases.

The speedo doesnât appear to be working on the video, could be disconnected?, could be a cable?, could be expensive!. It says at the end that there is a problem with the speedo so as you say another large expense Steve I agree, seems an honest enough advert, just think itâs a bit overpriced for an unknown. Jon

It's okay most of its there usual eBay overpricing, personally I would wait for a German import myself as they are genuinely original and usually well priced My point exactly. If you can deduce a few things are wrong from a handful of photos and a short video, what else lies beneath? The more bits I found wrong or bodged on my F2 meant I wasnât comfortable until Iâd completely striped and rebuilt it. That said I knew it had the odd bit needing attention before I bought it, but wasnât expecting a split big end thrust washer. Jon

I wanted to make some in mild steel as I have had issues with some stainless material in the past where it was too soft and too brittle, so snapped easily. I agree, stainless is the wrong material for this application. Stainless steel is great for certain applications but not for others. It is less ductile than mild steel, and so is not right for a component that is actually designed to be bent. I donât get people who use stainless steel screws inside engines. Its main advantage is aesthetic and it does not rust. Neither is relevant inside an engine bathed in oil. But there is the chance of gauling on removal from the aluminium cases, especially when they have been exposed to heat. It should also not be used on heavily loaded areas. It makes me cringe people bolt disks on with fully threaded stainless screws. Let alone the material properties, the fact the stress raiser on the threads is put under load is not a good idea. Jon

One of my pet hates is people who put disks on backwards. An easy fix, but it makes you wonder what else is wrong?
As for ânut and boltâ rebuild, if you truly have had every nut and bolt apart why replace the rusty bolts (or not bother with one in the clutch cover as mentioned)?
Radiator looks like it hasnât got the proper spacers fitted?
Donât get me wrong, it doesnât look too bad, but Iâd be inspecting everything to check itâs right and at that price it seems overpriced.
