Hi and welcome
My first thoughts are his math needs work
95% original
So 5% is the whole engine, the airbox, the exhausts, the centre stand, the forks, the yokes and the brake discs
Steve 🤣

Also looks like non tie bar engine cases in a tie bar frame as early engine number and no tie bars fitted
The V5 also shows it as still having its matching number engine fitted

Don't get me wrong, it's an LC, it's not top money for an LC and at least he's showing everything
I'm just laughing at the 95% original

Engine and frame numbers correct on the newer docs though.
But all the bits Steve said and exhausts are patch welded, tear in seat cover, radiator grill cut down, and a bolt missing from clutch cover bottom, you have to ask why, all these bits will cost to put right.
On a plus note, it does sound rather nice, crisp and clear.

+1. K&Ns are a bad move. Pipes look awful. Nut and bolt resto makes me laugh as that never happens and would make it about 50% original. Cheap for a 350 though.
And welcome in.

It's running and riding, but it's a modified bitsa.
Regarding money, I'd reckon realistically in todays market it's £5000 tops. That would make it a decent buy to ride as is and not too bad if at some point you wanted to spend a couple of grand or so getting it nearer 95% standard than it currently is.

One of my pet hates is people who put disks on backwards. An easy fix, but it makes you wonder what else is wrong?
As for ‘nut and bolt’ rebuild, if you truly have had every nut and bolt apart why replace the rusty bolts (or not bother with one in the clutch cover as mentioned)?
Radiator looks like it hasn’t got the proper spacers fitted?
Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t look too bad, but I’d be inspecting everything to check it’s right and at that price it seems overpriced.

It's okay most of its there usual eBay overpricing, personally I would wait for a German import myself as they are genuinely original and usually well priced

The speedo doesn’t appear to be working on the video, could be disconnected?, could be a cable?, could be expensive!.

If you can deduce a few things are wrong from a handful of photos and a short video, what else lies beneath? The more bits I found wrong or bodged on my F2 meant I wasn’t comfortable until I’d completely striped and rebuilt it. That said I knew it had the odd bit needing attention before I bought it, but wasn’t expecting a split big end thrust washer. Jon

The speedo doesn’t appear to be working on the video, could be disconnected?, could be a cable?, could be expensive!. Doubt the speedo is disconnected. The pics show a mileage of 49612, but the video shows it at 49614 miles, so it is spinning up the odometer, but not the needle. Likely to be a problem inside the speedo clock. Could be siezed internal bell/spring, most likley needs replacement mechanism. I can sort for the buyer if need be. The bike is a bitsa though, but could be made into something more original and/or tidier with a bit of effort.

Welcome I bought a 'bitsa' which was more original (though not all from the original bike!) and a lot less money. After riding it for a while, I decided to do a full strip and rebuild (though not the engine, as it had been rebuilt by 'Mutts Nuts' not that long ago and ran fine). Found quite a few horrors and spent some money. But now I know it's in good nick and I enjoy riding it regularly.

The market is dire, terrible time to sell and excellent time to buy. The market is at the stage where standard bikes will fetch decent but still low prices and bitzas and specials are pushing down to what the worst project donor bikes were selling a couple of years back. No disrespect to the seller but the top bike I still wouldn't buy at £4950 because of the very high price to get it into the condition that the market wants as the price of parts and services is in my opinion unsustainable now; as a "user" it would be superb though. I also believe that Andy's at £10k, while being a really nice bike, is premium and significantly above the price I believe that the market would take just now, the market will decide. Again, no disrespect to Andy just my opinion. Classic bikes were a bubble that had an amazing run and there's a sharp correction going on now.
I bought an F1 Bitza in boxes of bits for £4500 a couple of years back in total ignorance and wanting a project. My thoughts are now that it's £2k worth for parts to put toward the right bike.
