Yes, correct, I bought the bike from Mike as you see it in the pics. Ill health meant he couldn't finish and ride it sadly. That was back in 2016 !! Littlebloke ended up with it, and he sold it on to tipfinchy I believe.

Maybe we can turn you to the dark side (hybrids) after all? It’s the way it was with LC’s back in the day to present. Jon

Jon, I didn't want to be negative about the look of the first build and liked the later one much better (especially having some colour to relieve the black and the line of the pipes), it was much more along the lines of the standard bike too. Once it had been hybridised it probably wasn't ever going to be changed to standard so I appreciated the good work that had obviously gone into it. I'd still have the standard bike any time though especially as the LC was such a beautiful and iconic bike. I do always appreciate the skilful hard work that people put into making the hybrids btw, just not for me. I could see me doing a hybrid as many do when they have parts from different bikes in which case these are often brilliantly done to marrry the incompatible sections but I have a mix of bikes and will never likely get into that situation with one marque. Each to their own though.

hello Tony yes i did but at the time the bike needed setting up and , added to the fact that i wanted to fit some NK rear sets it got sent to Mutts maestro Dave and had some pipes made to suit the hangers , but even with the bike not running well at low revs or idle the hydroformed pipes was alright but it was a bit topendy and i am fairly sure if iirc there was no difference in rwhp (0.1) between the hydro pipes and the Alonze ones once Dave set it up just to add the Hydroformed pipes look great in my eyes mart

I think i might have made a tight ass bid to Dusty for the pipes. i should have offered more!

Thanks for all the info chaps. What caught my eye with this bike was the standard length swinging arm and 17” wheels. I love the look of LC wheels but just hate the fact they’re tubed. Ideally right way up front end too. I’ll keep looking through the build threads 👍🏻

They are Rgv wheels and front end Beardy, and a Metmachex swingarm to keep the wheelbase correct but accept the Rgv rear set up. If you want that, and RWU forks, Vj21 front end is 17" wheel and same as Vj22, wheel and brakes wise
