All power valves same throughout the range only aftermarket billet valves address this , 1ua have higher ports 1mm from old memories n slightly wider , Yamaha originally done this to keep power output similar even though other changes didn't allow higher peak hp due to emissions police being on there case !!!. for those interested I can post up pics showing the difference between new 1ua barrels with standard valve n the other one with billet valve... id be interested if you could mateπ

I know when I bought my billet ones from Martin at mbd I had to specify 1 ua as he said there is a difference. My god thatβs reminding me how much I spent on it π

Well it's up to you, I've fitted it and I'm happy, if you want to modify your stator plate or buy one from norbo that's the other option.

Hi bob I'd never heard of it either so no worries π Apparently they were used a lot in the 70s on cars etc You take the flywheel off and remove the woodruff key on end of your crank, then replace it with the offset one, it's made in such a way that it allows the flywheel to sit further away from standard thus advancing the ignition a couple of degrees. hi all ive been informed that if you fit the 350r cdi to the F2 this will allow a further 500 rpm at the top end as the F2 is not a rev monster, has anyone tried this swap and if so what results did you get if any , cheers inadvance Hi boost, My f2 struggles to go beyond 8.5 k so I've fitted an offset woodruff key to give a bit more advance and it's letting me now go to 9.5k so very happy for a small outlayπ When funds allow I'll get a new programmable system but for now I'm happy
