I agree Shaun, the lines on the repro Lc tanks are a little "sharper" than original, but I didn't really notice by how much until I put an original against a repro. Still more than happy with the 2 repros I've bought though. I've often wondered if the Pv tanks can be made in ally ? There are a couple of British firms that make ally tanks - the firm in Wales often display at the Stafford show. Again, probably not ideal for rivet counters, but maybe better than trying to salvage a rotten tank ?? Dusty I e-mailed a crowd in the UK a couple of years ago who make alloy tanks for the Nortons and the like..Got no reply so gave up on that..

Took the carb off my bike that it was running. Apparently it was really clean from the guy i got bike off. It was boggy to pull away and the throttle and air screws seem to have had no effect. The emulsion tube was pretty much blocked as was the pilot. This is what was behind the ball It now starts first kick, picks up off idle well & idles nicely I think thats the first view that i have seen behind the balls..bloody hell..π² .

After the guy who recoved my seat and decided in his wsdom to put an extra sliver of foam on the seat i always felt it was a little bit arse high as when i got the bike it had " drag " style bars... Swopped them out for a set of " ultra lows". Feels great now...

The old data is irrelevant now as it was all on 80's sh1t oil Steve OK..The oils of back then..stuff that Yama ran and won world championships with... in these bikes .. Now isn't Good 'nuff ? Barking up the wrong tree on that IMO Eh, bit of a difference between championship mileage and road mileage

Have you tried undoing the top clamp and lower clamp bolts then get a mate to hold front wheel tight between his legs and then using the handlebars turn the bars until all square but make sure the front wheel is pointing straight ahead and inline with the rear then tighten up all the clamp bolts. You will surprised how easy everything will come back in line. Unless something is seriously wrong of course. This can easily be a diy job..
