I see in the small print it says "includes free magnet to pick up needles when they fall out of cage of their own accord"...

A friend assisting .. helps. As does more time in the Gym rather than the pub. For fear of being sterotypicical i'm from Ireland and certainly have spent more time in the pub than the gym.I'v found by drinking every second pint with my left hand has kept my biceps in great shape and can lift an engine in and out no bother..๐ What i use is strips of old carpet with the underside uppermost taped to the frame..I find this much stronger than the foam in case its caught by an engine or exhaust stud.. Excuse me now as i have to go to the bar as its my round..

Thanks for the replies lads.. Stupid me " presumed " that all diameter sizes in the set would have the same pitch size... Up to 10 mm = 1.0 pitch. 10 mm = 1.25. 12 mm = 1.75.
So as stated i will have to purchase seperate larger size ones..
Shurley my set should be labeled " fine and not so fine "..๐

I have a Draper set of metric fine taps that i use to clean up any threads before assembly..The small sizes seem to work ok but when i do the likes of the threads on a 4l0 bottom engine case that holds on the damper rod a corser thread appears to get cut... Any links of the taps you guys are using.. I think i need to get a different set. Tks...

Fitted a new centre clutch bronze bush to the hub, and while i was at it fitted a billet alloy basket as well (thanks Norbo and Martin, MBD), the N1 sounds a lot quieter now. Check out the old damper rubbers, some had shrunk, all others, well you can see! Andy. IMG_2752 by Andrew Jolly, on Flickr ๐ณ

Moved her over so could fit in a '75 H2. Paying for buying it on flea-bay in spades....it's 'restored'.ย I would never sell a restored bike with: a well slack drive chain (at least it's new)ย neutral light don't work, front brake stop light switch dead, oil pump dripping, dent in tank I didn't see in the pics, oil pump doesn't seem to be adjusted right, rear brake adjusted so it was practically locked, inside of tank not pretty, a 'reconditioned frame' with rust on it, one carb a leaky, barrels/heads painted silver....even still...I think I love it though. Need to find the equiv of this wonderful forum.ย I think if you use your foot instead of your knee you will find it easier to start.. Lovely bike..๐

Fit Mikes XS Emulators and cut 2 to 4 coils off the original springs and fit a spacer in the top. Way better than fitting progressive springs. [br Toyed with the idea of using these before but was put off by the conflicting advice on wether to drill the damper rod or not...

Well, your words were all very apt as the crappyness of the kit showed when I tried to fit the needle bearings. using a draw bolt the outer part of the bearings was oversize and was also made of old coke cans and deformed spitting all the loose needle bearings over the floor a new kit from Japan has been purchased instead lesson learned :-) A few years ago tbe same thing happened me, so i picked up the phone and rang to complain.. They wanted a picture of the tools i was using to insert the bearings with...They did replace them but he went on to say that " you bikers" are always complaining.. Fu@#ing tosser...
