Hi Jon, That's good to know about the carbs I didn't want to change them if it wasn't necessary, but I would like to fit an airbox at some stage. I was looking at the swingarm today, and felt the hugger made it look a bit bulky ; So I decided to remove it and I think it looks better; This bike is my inspiration; Dusty Nice start for you there Dusty, the standard RGV Hugger can be cut down if ya like, check mine out!!
The chain guard part is getting removed after the MOT

Fitted a 120/80/18 Metzeler to the Marsbar rear wheel, its been a while since I got the tyre levers out , much sweat and swearing and got it done, had to leave the bike at a mates hoose as the valve ripped itsel outa the tube on a spin earlier, so decided to go get my spare tyre and a new tube and the bead breaker and tyre levers and do the job in his garage, phew I lost a pound or two getting that tyre on the rim lol

Looks very nice keep up the good work. I would fit the standard radiator guard or it may run quite hot, the larger front end restricts airflow, you will find it runs arround 3/4 on the temperature gauge. I fitted a larger rad and std guard on mine, it now runs 55-60 degrees. Jess Thanks for the info Jess, I reckon i'll try that waterless coolant and see how it goes, if she runs too hot i'll refit the standard guard, having said that hot days aint that common up here in the Highlands haha, our summers don't go much past 24C . Just read up on waterless coolant, think I will go with a standard mix at first and see how it goes, will report back when I get it on the road Oh and cheers all for the nice comments

Great looking bike mate keep up the good work I had a blue and white bike back in the day loved the colours as everyone else's had the red strips or black one's how much were those pipes they look like the Gibsons what's the difference? Topman Got them from Fondseca, priced at £489 delivered when I bought em last year, stainless steel is the only difference from the Gibsons that I can see, Gibson quoted me over £500 delivered and were mild steel chromed for that price, fit and build are top notch, look identical to the large can allspeeds I used to have so im assuming they are identical copies, highly recommend them for the looks alone:).

Hi lads, wanna pick the brain of you guys that have fitted the clear clutch cover, in the fitting instructions from NK Racing he says to brush on a oil /petrol proof sealant in the o ring groove on the clear window, I assume if its brushable that it needs to be quite liquid if that makes sense, what you guys use as I cant think what to use Thanks in advance

Well thankfully work has calmed doon a bit and ive got back in the garage for some hours on the Hybrid over the last week, turned into a few hours every night for a week haha. Got the frame back from my pal that sprayed the bodywork for me and got busy rebuilding her up , wiring loom got a checkover and wee tidy up but was generally sound.refitted that and the airbox coil , front forks, wheels, rear end etc Engine barrels got done Matt Black (Simoniz Engine Enamel) Motor slotted back into the frame.
Front forks got the wet an dry treatment as they were well horrible, bit oily hands in the pic but you get the jist
Sprayed up the radiator and oil pump cover (Simoniz Gloss Black) The Side casings get done Gloss too!! The previous owner had hand painted these, took ages to sand doon to get rid of the brush strokes boo hoo, here they are drying nicely on ma pellet boiler.
Arrived today my machined for a clear clutch cover casing , need to get painted.
Next few nights hopefully get nickel plating my kickstart, side stand, cylinder head bolts etc Also need to polish up the standard hangers and refit em

Thanks for the comments so far lads, well been a busy time lately with work after our wee 113mph storm up here after new year, then my lad blew up his RS125 Happens don't it lol , anyway had to rebuild the mota and as it's the full fat 33bhp engine in this thing it wassnae at all straightforward as youd think, all done now and as the insurance jobs have calmed doon I can get back on wi the LC whoo hoo, im waiting on my clutch casing back from NK as getting clear cover done, got an order of bits and bobs fae Norbo to bolt on so look out for some pics and some action soon, ive only managed tae spray the frame and the engine since ma last report, pic of the offending Aprillia, pain in butt tae work on but this bike would give a 250lc a run fort its money, well above 7k anyway haha, below that ya may as well get of an push haha, great fun though
