Fuel tank liners and ease of use just don't go together in my experience. I hate em with a passion.

They look fine with the slightly longer wheelbase and chunkier swingarm with the rgv conversion, they will do fine until i tune the motor next winter , then they can go on my standard 4lo

Im with Dusty on this, ive had my R1 wheels done ,15k miles ago, and various other bikes over the years, never had an issue, use a firm who know what they are doing with bike stuff and you will be fine IMHO , ive not done LC wheels I have to admit!!

just put 4 vibration washers on the engine mounts pissing about welding tie bars on for bodgers hmmm might try that first then, lots easier lol

Hmm, I think they are needed... I say that as Aaronmvrider has cracked his mounts on his +4 350 YPVS with JL pipes. Now you might argue that there are other factors, like possible worn front/rear mounts and more power etc but would Yamaha really have fixed this issue with welding tabs rather than just the pipe fix back in the day? I know the ypvs frame is different, but I still think you should fit them, its not that hard... and I would brace weld the mounts to the side rails as well as the cross member to get a very strong mount. I intend to do this on my LC421 frame to beef up this area as while everything is allowed to move with the metalastic bushes i still think the engine moves around quite a bit, especially if you dont have all new bushes. hmmm , ye you well may be right, easier to do it now than later, and as im painting the frame too , damn!! just about convinced myself not to do it and all lol

Just out of interest, on the non tie bar version does the lower case still have the threaded holes to accept the tie bar bolts? The motor in mine does have the threaded holes but is not original to the frame , my good mate is a welding lecturer in the local college and has had a look and reckons could easily knock up some mounts and weld em on for me, think I will leave it for now, if its a problem we can sort that next winter

Hi folks, just started stripping my Hybrid to paint the frame and tidy her up , noticed she is a non tie bar 4lo frame, Can tie bars be retro fitted? anyone done it? is it worth the bother?, am I correct in thinking if I weld a mounting to the front of the frame I can bolt em on? Most of all is it worth doing ? ive never owned a non tie bar model so don't know if its the cause of serious bother, thanks in advance lads !!
