I recently bought 3x H/D and 3x TZ from Norbo and ended up fitting 3x H/D and 3x original OEM springs that were well within their service limit. Fitting 6x H/D will be WAY too much and for me the TZ spings were too long Like OEB says, standard are probably the way to go unless you're making big power ?.

Cool App, got it on my Andriod. Perfect if you've got a FS1-E as it defaults to 20:1 every time you go into the app ..............

Also, how many people pay for an HPi check when buying a 25yr old bike ?.
I guess now you know it's a Cat C, it's whether you offer the info to any future buyer if/when you sell ?.

Yeah the genuine seal does seem quite small but it should be fine. Some put a very thin smear of clear RTV Silicone around it to be safe.
Incidently, when I stripped my curreny YPVS engine for the first time, it had a beefier square section seal in there that was thicker than the genuine seal. I replaced it with a smaller looking genuine seal and it's always been fine.

Yeah I think so.
Like all barrels are 10W, all heads 10V etc. on Mk1's

Never.
If it leaks with a good condition gasket then something isn't right. I re-use my gaskets over and over again and never had a leak.

Is there a 12A CDi ?, I haven't seen one.
Pretty sure they are all marked 10W ?. I've got about 8 here and they are all 10W.

I've used these guys before for swing arms and other stuff but not a frame.
They did a great job for me and very reasonably priced
Certainly a driveable distance away

Arrow does 100% synthetic have less protection over semi synth. when the bike is idle ? When I changed from semi to full synth I noticed the carbs and especially the brass fittings went a bit more scaly You could try riding it occasionally.....

I'm on my 2nd 5L of this Exol oil, using it in lots of different bikes. Only thing I will say is, it's very runny !, so if you've got any dodgy oil pump seals, it will seek them out.....lol Shortly after I filled my YPVS up with it, the oil pump seal failed and it dumped a load into the gearbox. Could have been coincidence, as I changed the oil seal and it's been fine ever since with that oil in it. It's suitable for premix and pump, so always a bonus

Took mine apart yesterday and the sealed side was on inside ie facing the pump Mmmmmmm, interesting, but was it in there like that from the factory ?, or been installed by a previous owner who didn't know which way around to fit it ?. I think I'll do it the marsbar350 way and just stick the fooker in there ......lol

Yeah that's cool mate ta So going on OEB's workshop info. "Install bearing(s) with their manufacturers marks or numbers facing outwards" and the fact that there only seems to be any markings on the closed seal side, it must go fully open side to the seal.

The Yamaha service manual states "Install bearing(s) with their manufacturers marks or numbers facing outwards" HTH OEB Yes, that's progress, thanks. Now has anyone got a picture of both sides of a genuine bearing to see if the open or closed side has the "manufacturers marks or numbers"

I'm sure either way will siffice but why do Yamaha specify a 6300Z (sealed one side) if it doesn't matter which way it goes in ?.

Clearly you don't know, so Foook Off And I can't yet anyway, cos my genuine seal hasn't arrived yet, and as you know, that has to go in first

Does anyone know for sure which was around the genuine Water Pump Bearing fits ?.
The pattern ones normally come open both sides but the genuine bearing comes sealed one side but not the other ?.
Logic would say open side to oil, so that it can take lubrication ?
But then why put a closed side to the water pump seal as that should be dry that side anyway ?.

Does look very nice, says in the advert he bought it last August as it is. Wonder if the pictures were taken last summer when he bought it or now ?. Went to see a bike on Sunday that was nice and shiny in the pictures (which turned out were taken 2 years ago). When I turned up it looked like it had been corroding away in a damp shed for the last 2 years .....

Any 125LC carb will do mate, 12A, 10W, 11Y or even off the later models.
Just make sure you get the jetting right for your setup

I only every buy Yuasa or Motobatt AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt) and they last for many years. What you can't do with a standard type battery is leave it for months without charging, they will just die

Is the bike inside in the warm or in a cold shed/garage ?. I would imagine most people's fuel lines will feel fairly hard in the cold weather we've been having lately ?. Just a thought
