My bike is missing the carb and rear wheel spindle/spacers, is the mk2/3 spindle and spacers the same? And can the carb from any other bikes be used without too much messing about?

not sure about spindles and spacers mate but my mk1 had a 10v carb on from the dt i fitted a 165 main jet ran with a short can micron and it ran great still had the flat spot at 6thou revs but no mid range splutter always do a plug chop thou.

Hi mate I think the spindle on the mk1,2, and 3 are all the same and the spacers

hi dude, sorry I didn't get back to you. cant find the carb anywere, the mk2/3 rear spindle is different. keep checking on ebay. mk1 parts turn up on a regular basis

Dt lc carb? Ahh no worries, will keep an eye out on eBay the carb is the main one for now

Any 125LC carb will do mate, 12A, 10W, 11Y or even off the later models.
Just make sure you get the jetting right for your setup

The MK2/3 rear spindle is a tad longer as the swing-arm is thicker in the chain adjuster area.
