If you can turn the water off outside you could cut the old one out and use a Lead Lock to go from Lead to Copper, if it's in the middle of a Lead pipe you could go from Lead to a Copper stop c**k and back to Lead, have a look on youtube.
Hope this is of some help.

Hi all, I got 2 brand new NOS 1UA cylinders and it would be a shame to fit some over worn YPVS valves in it. Since YAMAHA new parts are expensive (and not impressive about quality/finish) I’m considering billet versions. I remember TSS in Australia selling 31K version and 1UA version to fit better 1UA cylinders. Now Mad Bikers Design is selling Wicked motorsport billet valve: www.mb-designs.co.uk/page12.php?view=productPage&product=220&category=9 and Norbo is selling some too So questions : are the wicked version the same than TSS ? Norbo: where yours comes from and do you have 31K or 1UA version ? What is better on the &1UA version ? Thank you Xavier I believe(hopfully someone will correct me if im wrong) there is about 1mm difference between the two, due to the exhaust ports being slightly different, the original ones from Yamaha had the same part number for both 31k and 1ua as you have a 1ua i would go for them..

Nearly finished now New petrol tap fitted and petrol in the tank so that's done. The tank is an original and is the cleanest I've ever seen inside - no rust, just bright metal, so that's a result. Headlight fitted, and all electrics fitted and working. Seat on too. Just a chain to buy, then an MOT, and then sell it !! 20190316_120053 by dusty miller, on Flickr Dusty And then onto the next one Dusty.

Stan Stephans machined my head for me last year , cost me £40 Hi Tony, Was the £40 just for skimming it? To reprofile both domes and skim it is more like the £100 others are quoting in my experience? Jon Hi Jon, he skimmed the head and re-cut the domes. Tony

Cyl heads can Easily be machined to remove Shrapnel damages.. 70 thous is within reason. Typically the machinist reprofiles the comb chamber /dome and the squish band. Yess it can be improved and the band angle is cut to match the piston profile IF the machinist is on top of his game. I think we all agree it can be done, but there is certainly a cost to it that I would consider if I had the choice of buying a head with no damage versus one with damage. Stan Stephans machined my head for me last year , cost me £40

lol whatever the outcome he has a dog that's barks at the drop of a pin, cant wait to fire up the lomas pipes at 6am on a nice summer morning when the bikes finished A work mates next door neighbour had a barking dog,he worked nights and the thing would be shut out in the garden all day barking it's head off, so he fed it a bar of Ex Lax, apparently it shat all over the house, not a nice experience for the poor dog but it did the trick, they ended up giving it to their daughter. If you do decide to pay him back, give it plenty of time, i waited 10 years to pay my ex boss back..

Dave that’s an assault if you want to push it further happy to advise you how to. Hi Veg, I did think about it, but decided to let it slide, but if the guy runs a biker off the rode and kills him I'll never forgive myself, but I tried to do the right thing and the police just clearly aren't bothered, I am going to call them at some point and tell them that if he does kill somebody and I hear about it I will make it public knowledge that the police had a chance to stop this idiot and didn't - ironically my postman told me today the guy is his father-in-law and he even said he is a complete tw*t - I won't go into how we ended up talking about it and how we put 2 and 2 together, but funny how things turn out sometimes ! Give it 6 months and go and paint stripper his car, when it's repaired do the same thing again.

Put another 60 odd running in miles on the power valve today, had a car turn right in front of me, for a split second i thought things were going to end badly and judging by the look on the other drivers faces they thought so too, luckily for me we missed each other, squeaky bum time, why they do it i never know, there was nobody behind me, F-----g retards.

My grandmas bungalow got hit many years ago, set the TV alight, she threw a bowl of water over it before unplugging it, she did the same when her chip pan went up in smoke, took me ages to clean the ceiling and repaint it, she was so lucky she never got burnt..
Surely they have to prove God exists to make a statement like that.
Worth looking into though, they could be trying their luck..

Maybe if the chain link is coloured differently it would be easier to check. My splint link is gold, easy to spot.
