Scumbags at best. If it's someone that knows you that's even worse. I guess this is a reality check and warning to everyone that these bikes are worth a lot of money in bits and the scumbags have woken up to it :-( I second you on this. Please lets not have a leap back to the 80's and have a repeat of the LC as the most stolen bike! Aid.

I second Bare. Never gone wrong with Yuasa Batteries myself(lead acid and not cheap) on my bikes in the past. It depends on what you want from and expect from your battery.

No buddy, 12 months later had a big stroke and lost my license to the DVLA so can't ride anymore. Hey, shit happens. Thanks for the thought.

The last time I went round Cadwell on a 2stroke, big highside on Hallsbends. And then spent 2 days in GGI strapped to a bed with a suspected broken neck! Hence I haven't been since, but the bug is biting!

Thanks Dusty, I would love to see an Lc engine with that mod. I am still not sure on the way I am going to go with my build at the moment. But I do think if I went TZ route I would have to sell my CB900FA. Best regards, Aid. Don't mess around with just the top end, fit the complete motor OEB Point made very well indeed! Swiftly taken heed.

Very interesting Bare. I also wondered why TZ's have Siamese cylinders, and is it possible to use them on an LC?

Hey Yogi, Did the link work? And whats going on with the bidding? Aid. It would if eBay hadn't removed it for the umpteenth time this weekend, lol Matt Oh well, it worked for Steve. But a major leap in I.T for me, it was my first link.

Very, very nice example of a Mars Bar. If you are going to change the exhausts, give me a message if you want to sell the ones that are on it now.

This CB1100 makes me feel embarrassed to get my CB900F out of the garage! Very, very nice example. Regards, Aid. That CB1100 looks fantastic, get a pic up of your 900 Aid I had a 900FA back in the day been looking at buying one to restore they seem to be shooting up in price. Ok, here it is. Still a couple of things to do and a fresh paint job. Can't decide on colour, originally silver, but I really like metallic candy red. DSC_0037[1] by Aidan Murray, on Flickr

Right, if it has been stood for a long time then there are a few things to do first; Remove the tank Check all the wiring Remove the carbs, strip, clean thoroughly(very important) & reset to standard settings Change oil & filter Replace the battery, plugs, air filter These things must be done if you want it to start and run(unless you are extremely lucky and it starts with fresh fuel only). Use an auxiliary fuel tank with fresh fuel. There are different carbs on various different models and from the picture it is hard to see which are on yours. But if they are the same as the ones on the bike I did it is not good news because they are very troublesome, so can cause a few problems when trying to get a bike running that has been stood for a few years. Well, that should be enough to get you started(excuse the pun ). Good luck, Aid.

Yep, that's the same as the one I did this year. There may be a couple of things different but I would have to have a close look. Definitely worth doing though, so I will post 1 or 2 pics of the one I did and see what you think.
Regards, Aid.
