What sort of alternatives to the standard LC temp gauge are available?. I'm not using LC clocks on my build, I've got some off an XS something or other, when I work out how to get the trip knob off I can put a new face/innards in the speedo, but will have no temp gauge in the rev counter. Cheers wang

I have a LC2 top yoke £35 posted, you can see it in this thread , it does have the top clamps. rdlccrazy.proboards.com/thread/41154/lc-tz-250Or if you prefer, you can use something like this, if you can find 35mm ones, these are 38mm.

Is the bike fitted with a Mel le moto tank? No it's an early TZ style tank. I have had a Mel LeMoto one, wasn't keen on the shape though.

CDi is the same, your stator looks the same apart from the extra red wire.

Here's both heads together, 350 on the left.

Yes It’s definitely looks a 250 head. At first I thought it was a 250 modified for a 350...and possibly not correctly . The top right cylinder looks like it has two chamfers on it but is that just optical illusion? The left hand one, lowest in the seems to have a soot ring on a flat surface...no wonder it’s popped ! I think you're right. Did you measure across the domed area, or from across the black circle?

Think you may need to make sure the head is correct. I'm in Blackburn if you need to compare the one you have. across the dome is approx. 65mm wang

From the cdi, there should be 3 wires red/black/brown that connect with the black plug to the stator, then a single red and white wire again connecting to the stator, there should also be the 3 wires black/black white/ orange that eventually connect to the coil.

I need some ideas on a rear light for my TZ/LC project. A hole has already been cut(not by me), but I can't find anything to fit on Ebay, it's 110mm between the hole centres and the cutout is 97 x 27 mm. Is it possible to make a custom LED one? cheers wang

Is it where the kickstart spring sits Yeah, you can see a feint line in the case where the spring has gone round from the break!

Not really, think there is a loop over the back of the ignition switch on a F2/N2.

Are the LC pattern oil seal kits worth buying? I'd heard they were ok apart from the water pump oil seal, so use a genuine one here.
Advice please.

They are well made and need a good knock with a hammer to dent the steel top but I've done a few and all work well , might be best to check for leaks before modifying yours or returning it may be awkward, the one I sent back was refunded as soon as I sent proof of postage to somewhere in Oldham. Ditto, hammer and tubing

F1 and F2 yokes are what you need. Sell the ones you have to cover the swap cost. I already have some F1 F2 yokes, just need to find someone to weld some brackets on!
