my trick is to bleed the brakes above the master, i just rotate the caliper, prepare for bubbles, works everytime!

Hi all, nice to be here. I fitted a pair of microns to a 31k 350YPVS a while back and since then have oily plugs, fouling and poor starting. Tried k&n filters, now back to standard air box etc. fiddled with just about everything but all to no avail. Oil pump is accurate by the way. Just can't seem to sort this out. Figured other owners must have come across this. Cheers did you sort it? oily plugs and fouling a nd poor starting are related to the carbs, what colour are the plugs, dark? lean the choke jett, that will help starting does it idle? run better on choke? sounds super rich my 2pence

yup thats them, lol i nearly got my answer cheers! still dont know if it needs moving back from full advance?the bike according to old owner was a runner rebuilt in jan and never run, he said it needed a key and the nut as he nikked it for hes other RD so my job today was to replace key and nut! i havent tried to start it wanted to check it over first
thats when i noticed the timing, where is yours set?
seems to have a rgv running gear , swinger, rgv wheels, 31k carbs with spacers, it got good comp, owner tried to mot it and it failed, not suprised forks twisted in the yokes and chain tension was like a tight rope, and not in line either,
so i want to make it safe before i start it, clean carbs, balance them check oil pump, clean tap, check fluids, thne fire it up!
