50 to one will be very very lean on oil not if its jetted accordingly, more oil actually means lean, the latest 2smoke engines run 100-1 you just have to run larger pilots to avoid a seize on closed throttles my big bore ktm 500 mx runs at 50-1, recommended 32-1 was just to lean on stock jetting, and it pogoed every where lol

same carbs as mine, i also found the the pipe between the carbs was old and stretched, replace out of precaution, my main is 240 and its still a bit fat with allspeeds, whats the rest of the jets? 22 or 27.5 idle 5 something needle, clip 2nd from bottom, i jet mine for clip in the middle air screw 1.25 mine is at 1 turn out
what plugs dude? going up heat range can help with icing carbs

id check float level, are you using clear petrol hoses, mine was the same and found the float level on the carbs was wrong and tank breather was the problem as well, the tubes had large air pockets and not getting fuel
whats your air screw set to? maybe it may need adjusting, check timing? you could pull that exhaust and check for fuel in there?

well if you deciede to sell carbs pm me
as for your bike, maybe its flooded, have you checked the plugs to see if they are wet? if they are wet id say float levels,
have you put the oem carbs the right way round, im not sure it will run with out balance pipe, im sure some one will correct me, are you running air box, maybe some dirt has got in to those little jets (back) on the mouths of the carbs,
maybe tank has a air lock, thats why mine was acting weird like a air leak on high revs, no fuel
hope this helps:)

been busy trying to sort the bike, never buy a bike un tested, you live and learn as this was supposed to be a easy project lol bottom end is nearly perfect, picks up very well only needs very little revs to get moving, however if you rev it just as you get into the band it seems to hold the revs even if you close the the throttle,
if you rev it on the stand under 5k its fine, settles nicly and doesnt hold revs and you can hear the slides snap back, around 1mm play on the cable
its like its got a leak some where, im sure it doesnt as it would play up all round the rev range
things that have been done, since buying it
4l0 blocks, carbon reeds- could this be a issue, i made sure it was sealed, i used my blue gas , it has gaskets between spacers and had some blue between the spacers and boot
reed spacer
rejeted 31k carbs 27.5 pilot, 240 mains, 5l something needle, needle clip 2nd from the bottom
plugs were a bit black and slightly wet
so clip was lifted, now in the middle and plugs is brown and dry
i set the timing as it didnt seem right, 2mm btdc using my dial, i set it to 0 just as you get free play on the dial, then wound it back 2 turns and moved the stator plate till it lined up with F on the rotor, does that sound right, ive not stobed it as i dont own one
could i have timed it wrong? could some one tell me where theres is set to test, seems ive ended up on if you looking at the stator plate, im at the full left on the stator has any one experianced it, ive never seen this before
thanks in advance!
