jonw, now I've got my 25 posts on the forum I can see the price of bikes on here! I guess £1200ish! Will get photos once I get home & get it posted on here! Searching Google gives you eBay prices & I don't want to deal with them! Personal preference, but I would rather deal with people who are enthusiasts rather than tire kickers & people who just want to see if there is anything worth stealing in your garage! Andy

But when people suggest not to feed the trolls half the forum gets upset... I wish him luck, he got what he wanted from his time here but gave nothing back...

Pay what it's worth to you, or don't... Can hardly blame the bloke for trying to get the best price for his bike!

Wanting to get the best price for it is completely understandable but he could have listed the bike on eBay without joining the forum and spouting the 'I want it to go to an enthusiast' bollokcs. Complete waste of everyone's time, and he'll just disappear from the forum now.

The extra money he gets will only go to those greedy eBay and PayPal t**ts anyway and that's if the winner even turns up to collect? No one was trying to mug the bike off him. He said 1200 ish and some members said they'd be interested. Where's the mugging in that?

For £1200 I would have bought it even though I don't want it , we all know it's worth more than that but on eBay IF he sell it first time for 2k plus he will do well but with eBay the prices are much inflated , I offered my two bikes on here first then other web sites where they did sell over Xmas , I wasn't prepared to risk selling for a higher price and get bummed about on eBay but then again I did know what they were worth in the first place and sold them for close to what I was asking . If the seller of the 31K genuinely didn't know its value all he has to do is ask or look at similar bikes and their values its not difficult to work out .

For £1200 I would have bought it even though I don't want it , Exactly what a few of us thought, everyone likes a bargain? At the time he said 1200 ish no one had even seen any pics I still don't think its worth 2k though?

Yes it was worth more than £1200 but why not get to 25 posts then list it in the For Sale section with a price that seems fair to everyone? And why is it that he was on the forum three hours ago so has read the posts slating what he did but he hasn't defended it in any way?

Looks like he got an offer through eBay that he took then. If it was the £2000 bid then I'm not surprised at all - would he have got that from a forum member?

Might not have been with 2K plus but somebody must have though it was , shame as the lad who bought my 400e also just bought a mint 31k for just over 3K off a guy who's biuld thread was on here and that bike has been for sale for ever. Probably won't see the seller on here again after the slating but it would be interesting to hear his version of events , right or wrong .

ah there you go as has been said he baited the water and got some bites.that was just in the small pond,so he went and had a cast out into the big lake. some one will end up with a good project and if they are not out for profit, hope they will enjoy riding it.
