Just fitted a pair of long can Microns to my otherwise std. 4LO 350. Before the cans were fitted it was a bit flat between 5000 and 6000. Now its completely flat right up to 7000rpm then takes off likes a scolded cat. Smokes heavier now too. any ideas (I am a novice but willing to learn!!!). Cheers in advance.

Do not rejet these Do Not require a rejet. Despite claims to the contrary. Likely that, saved you some work /worries :-) Smoke is Good: it means yer getting adequate lube And your engine is running.

You could do with some feed back with those running the same pipes ,, it could well be that those particular pipes are designed for top end power thus loosing mid / low range

I used to run Microns and did have the usual rough spot at 5k to 6k, but was okay above that.
Did not seem to be down on power at low/mid revs.

Hi all, nice to be here. I fitted a pair of microns to a 31k 350YPVS a while back and since then have oily plugs, fouling and poor starting. Tried k&n filters, now back to standard air box etc. fiddled with just about everything but all to no avail. Oil pump is accurate by the way. Just can't seem to sort this out. Figured other owners must have come across this. Cheers

Years ago I ran Microns on an otherwise completely standard F2. I bolted them on and didn't change anything else and it went like a rocket and was completely reliable.

Cheers did you sort it? oily plugs and fouling a nd poor starting are related to the carbs, what colour are the plugs, dark? lean the choke jett, that will help starting does it idle? run better on choke? sounds super rich my 2pence
