Haha You have to have the garage comfy don't you ! I spend a lot of time in there so it has to be cosy Just wish it was bigger so I could get more bikes in I did have the bike out on the drive the other day, and the one thing I am not completely happy with is the paint scheme. It's obvious that the tank decals should/would meet up with side panel decals; I think I will have to bite the bullet and get it done properly in the new year, with a red/white Tz scheme. I didn't want to spend the last of my funds on paint before I got the bike up and running, just in case there were issues that needed sorting, and I will make sure it runs right and everything works before I get paint. Hi Bit of an update on the Hybrid. It was up for sale but there wasn't a lot of interest. The seat unit is the main area that lets it down, so I have been looking into changing it for something else. I have opted for a Tz250H seat, same shape as this; www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-TZ250-TZ250-Yamaha-TZ250-Seat-Foam-TZ250-Seat-pad-TZ250-Seat-TZ250-/251865873981?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3aa4603e3dOverall length is the same as the current seat but is obviously a totally different shape. I got it from Sforza as it was half the price of Meadspeed. Incidently, Meadspeed sell an upholstered seat pad for these seats so once I know it all fits I will invest in one of those. Hopefully seat will arrive tomorrow so I'll have the weekend to hopefully get it to fit Dusty

Hi Seat arrived today. I was in London till about 3.00pm, so haven't had much time to sort out fitting it, but I think it looks good so far; It fits the width of the frame at the front, and I spent what time I had this afternoon getting the seat to fit the original wooden base as I still need to support it properly and house the battery, which can now stand upright. I like the fact the hump is the same height as the tank, and I think with a different paintscheme it will look right. Dusty

Not to bad, some paint will make it better looking. But still i think its a little to far down. Almost hiding the tires What kind of rearlights are you thinking?

I think the main problem With the look of this is the high bars, clocks, and headlight, and the fact that The bike in the first post looks so damn good.

Very nice work. One doesn't need very much of a battery These run fine on Knackered Batteries even. A very small one can suffice it only needs provide a load for the charge circuits, to ensure their longevity Not like there's a starter motor :-) Also OEM air boxes produce Mo' power than pods, at least on an engine still usable on public roads.
IMO the earlier Seat looks good albeit a bit too thin. Latest one is reminiscent of 'Abundant Buttocks' being where they shouldn't be :-0 Not that it matters a whit what I think looks good.

Hi The F2 is still in one piece at the mo ! I did have a fella interested in it but keeps letting me down coming to see it. This is why I haven't stripped it yet. In the meantime, I swapped my TSA pipes for some nice chrome Allspeeds that suit a valve engine in an Lc frame. As the bike didn't have pipes now, I thought I would fit the black Allspeeds that came on the Lc. I actually think the shorter pipes suit the bike better looks wise; They do sound good too. I ran the bike for about 15 minutes, then took off the left pipe to see if there was any coolant in it, which thankfully there wasn't - the left side TSA was full of oily coolant from the head stud problem, and even though I changed the stud and the bike runs much better, I wanted to make sure the pipe wasn't filling up. Hi Final pics today. The F2 is getting parts stripped off for the Lc that I bought recently. I did cut down the seat unit I bought, I think it looks better without the deep side profile; The engine will be coming out along with all the F2 electrics. Will try and sell the Nitron separately - I can put the other shock back on, will probably sell a clock set and that will leave a rolling chassis. If that doesn't sell then it will go under a sheet in the shed for a rainy day Dusty

Hi Des, I've been in two minds what to do mate. Sell complete and put the money towards the Lc ? Or sell a couple of parts to fund the Lc powdercoat, thus leaving most of the rolling chassis for another day ? I have a 350 Lc engine, carbs and loom sat on the bench doing nothing so it seems mad not to use it back in the Lc, but me being me would want to give it a total rebuild which costs £££. One minute I think I've made a decision, and then I change my mind again !! It's funny, everything else in my life I can make firm decisions on, but when it comes to my bikes I'm useless !! I looked up the ports on the Lc today and the pistons look like new, and I can see honing marks on the bores, so I think it's had a refresh in fairly recent times, so I start thinking - just get some vapour blasting done and some powdercoating to side cases and bolt that back in, then another voice says - think of all the work and cost that went into the F2 engine, you'd be mad not to use it !! One thing is for sure though, I can only get 2 bikes in the garage, and The Fz1n isn't going anywhere, so it's either the F2 or the Lc, and the Lc is winning at the mo !! Regards Dusty

Cheers Alex Lots of good threads were lost when Photof**kers withdrew their free hosting. Norbo has given info on how to fix the problems so the pics reappear. Hopefully all old threads will be revived by the original posters so we can all enjoy them again Dusty
