Hi Tobyjugs
that looks lovely, but isn't that an S2r, single sided swingarm and slightly different frame, wheels but still 900 engine.
I see he has rearsets, i would love some for mine (bit of a problem with ground clearance!) but nobody makes them any more, the problem is the current footrest also support the exhaust so the rearsets would have to do the same.
I think the later S4r had a water cooled 916 engine, so i think the S2r was the last 900.

MOT booked for the YSR tomorrow so i took it for a spin and then spent an hour trying to fault find why the RH indicators didnt work, which they now are but im not sure exactly what part of the wiring or connectors I pulled and cleaned to to make it so.. I've bolted my 996 rear reflector to the number plate, does anyone know if it will be MOT passable on the side of the plate as such?
Re the reflector, i would have thought it would be ok, i stick tiny ones on the rear light and it passes. I think it is a bit of a grey area but as long as it has one... Mouse

Well done Rigga. Same for me, i was self employed and this Covid s***e pretty much finished off my work, that and the fact that i was utterly fed up with the work too!
So, now i have a lot of free time, i will decide what to do in the future, but for now, i'm just pottering about and enjoying my bikes, i may get a part time job in the future, who knows.
I always thought it would be nice to retire while i still have some life left in me, not when i am so old that i retire and then keel over, what's the point!!
I think you have made the right decision especially considering your family history.
All the best

With all this infatuation with matching engine frame numbers, what's to stop me or anyone having the ribbed surface flattened, and re stamped with the frame number then..... logbook changed..... Job done ?? Really! Mouse

The jeans are 'PMJ titanium CE' and the boots are 'Dianese York' boots. Infinity are doing the best price on the boots of anyone at the mo. HTH Mouse

Collected these today. I used to wear just normal jeans until i came off whilst wearing them and lost some skin, ever since i have always worn leather when on a bike, but sometimes you just want to nip to the shops or something and getting all togged up is a bit of a faff. So, the bike specific jeans seem to have moved on a bit and these and the boots are CE approved, so i took the plunge. They seem really well made and are lined with the stuff they make bullet proof vests with! Where i live is not quite Beirut but you never know! IMG_1268Mouse

Hi, maybe a bit extreme but have you thought of getting a throttle cable made? I'm sure 'Venhill' could do it.
Just a thought.

What a cracking bike Mouse! I've always liked Ducatis, especially the Monster. I know it was a parts bin bike but wow, they did a damn good job on it. Yours looks superb with that exhaust! Alex Thanks Alex, got the pipe work second hand but in mint condition. It is 'straight through' system, so quite loud! Mouse
