I love the black & blue hybrid, thinking I'm going to paint mine similar but I keep changing my mind. Where did you get the blue hose from the header tank to the radiator, Thanks Trevor. Cheers, it is just Samco vent hose, 6mm ID, i think HTH Mouse

Jonw, i guess you mean the mouse sticker? No, but it is very cool. I meant the rad sticker/strip with the temp reading. I assume its easily found for industrial use, but a link to one with the right range and that can sit on a bike and is a good size would be useful, yours looked perfect for the application. Hi Jon, yes , Yogi said you meant that sticker, i put the link on page 1, last post on this thread HTH MOuse

Wow! thanks for all the comments chaps, i'm very flattered, glad you like the bikes!
Don't worry Yogi, you and Dusty are still the 'Kings of Bling!'
I know some of you have seen these bikes before and they are not to everyones taste (which is fine) but i love them and i'm always changing bits and pieces on them, so to get some really lovely comments from other owners i respect is great, so cheers all!
Jonw, i guess you mean the mouse sticker? That is one i designed and had made, it is a family thing in honour of my Grandfather, an artist (oil painting) who always put a mouse in his pictures.
All the best everyone and get those bikes ready for summer, she's going to be hot with a blue haze!

Well, i guess i've been lucky, just a couple of small probs along the way. Yes, quite agree on the character side Veg, still fancy a 1200 though! Used to have a 888 strada as well (same frame), but i 'highsided' it. Smashed it to bits, was not allowed to be rebuilt at all, great shame as i much preferred it to the 916/748 of the time, oh well IMG_1267 Cheers Mouse

So here are some more pics (the sun came out!). I painted the master cylinder and added new brake hoses and reservoir along with 'Tygon' pipe. Also NOS rear disc and 'Cerakoted' rear caliper plus new chain. IMG_1262 IMG_1260 And the family pics, Daddy IMG_1259Mummy and Daddy IMG_1263 Mummy, Daddy and baby...draw your own conclusion!! Thats some nice detail in the bottom picture. I especially like the wire for the radiator cap. The temperature sticker is also nice. Cheers Tobyjugs, just like to say the lockwire is now connected to the rad!

Cheers Tobyjugs and Veg!
Yes, it's a 1996 900, so first gen, owned from new by me, never seen rain hence less than 10k mileage!
I love it, yes it does handle well, the faster you go the better it is. I have all the standard parts, but she is running with a full termignoni system and airbox mod and yet the performance is very similar to my Blk hybrid LC!
I think this is the nicest Monster apart from the current 1200S, which i really like!

Not posted for a while, but have been busy in the garage. Have been spending time getting my standard-ish 4LO ready for summer. 'Getting ready' included a re-built engine and oil pump, carbs, new tyres and a good clean! IMG_1222Just waiting for the rain to stop, so i can get an MOT!! Also been working on my 4LO Hybrid. BIG Re-fresh, inc frame/swingarm stripped and powdercoated. I was never happy that you could not read the frame No: due to too much paint plus she was getting a bit tatty. Also had shock serviced by Maxton along with getting the head and barrels 'Cerakoted'. IMG_1210While the top end was off i managed to get Stan Stephens to do a bit more porting on the inlet side, so looking forward to seeing how she goes! IMG_1213Managed to build another set of clocks from spares, i got one of 'Kate'n'wells's' rev counter dials, (the quality of which is superb) and 'zero'd' a spare speedo i had, will have to wait and see if they work properly but they work with the drill method! IMG_1224 And finally, had an extra spigot added to the rad for the water pipe that comes from the back of the head (YPVS, cheers Dusty!) to the rad and the chassis has been on diet of titanium bolts everywhere possible! More pics soon Mouse. IMG_1225

Don't know if it helps but years ago these used to be road legal and i had them (Avon AM23 blue spot) on my FZ750. They were outstanding and really sticky. Then for some reason Avon decided they were made as 'race only' tyres, great shame!
I think they would be excellent on a track bike but not sure about a 130 on the rear.

I have a 4LO loom with the YPVS bits 'spliced' in on my hybrid. I didn't do it as electrics are not my strong point! It was done by Martin at Taymar racing and allows the LC switchgear to be retained.

I think these look fantastic and are a great alternative to standard clocks. Are they difficult to wire up, if you didn't want to butcher original clock/wiring are the connecters/parts needed hard to get? Mouse Cant answer that yet Mouse as i haven't even built the bike yet lol Just gathering parts so i can hit the build running. Dont think it will be that hard. Rev counter runs off the coli wire. Speedo runs off a wheel sensor. The centre instrument panel is existing so thats just plug and play as normal. Full wiring instructions are included in the Koso box. Ive spoken with digital speedos today to see if we can achieve some club discount - fingers crossed. Watch this space. Ah, ok, thanks for the reply. As 'jonw' says, when you do get these wired in and working, perhaps you could add the 'how to' to the other excellent info you have posted? Mouse

If you are on a BT line, after you have answered and hung up, dial 1572 and follow the instructions, it will block the last number that called you.
Doesn't stop them calling you from another number but do this each time, but only if you are on a BT line.
