After getting Mito envy while reading through Yazza54's thread I remembered that I had a pile of bits that used to be a mito. Being as the swingarm I made didn't fit I decided that I'd get a standard arm as it should be a straight swap I quickly remembered that I needed a rear wheel so I ordered one from an er6 so it would match the zx10 front It seems that the sprocket carrier I made for the 10 wheel fits but I won't know if the chain run is right until it's all together. It looks pretty though. When I tried the wheel in the arm I quickly realised that they won't fit together properly without machining the hub down a lot. It was then that I remembered that I moved the shock mount on the frame which gave me a couple of options. 1 is to move the mounts back to their orginal positions, this would mean that I'd have to junk the rear subframe and use a different seat unit though 2 try something else Being as I quite like the way it looks I'm going to try someting else.

Being as I'm basically starting over again I thought I'd have a go at re-making some of the bits. One of the first things I found in the shed was the rear engine mount. So I found this 7.4kg lump of ally hiding in the bin Which ended up as a 1.3kg lump and fitted in a loose arm I then decided that the yokes I had already made didn't look as I wanted them to so ........ and a fitted picture ( I really need to clear my shed out ) The weight of these are 1.54kg and for comparison a set of oe R1 yokes weigh 1.5kg. I made a set of domes up for a friend of mine as well which have a toriodal chamber. The plan is that I'll use this shape when I ( finally ) build the engine which will save some time messing around developing the chamber shape Next job is to work out fitting the engine tie bars then I can start worrying about getting the wheel to fit in the arm

You have some epic machining talent, but I'd question who leaves big billets of aluminium in the bin lol

I'm still in the planning stage at the moment so it will take a while longer yet Plus I'm trying to get shot of my 3ma for a bit of space and everything has come to a standstill until that's sorted There is something I want to try out on the intake but I'm still working out the fine details so it will be a while until I'm ready to give any details out on exactly what it is
