Thanks, but to be honest its all about 3d modelling on the pc. Once that is done its just a case of setting the machine properly and hitting start.

Finally finished off the sprocket carrier today , I think thats most of the big of the billet bits made now. I just have to finish the new bottom yoke off and screw cut the stem then I can make a start on the swingarm plates and bearing cups and as a bonus it fits

I decided to finish off the sprocket carrier. I didn't know which colour to go for on the anodising , black , silver or clear , after thinking about how I want the bike to look I decided on natural (silver) and it looks a bit like this \ I decided on this colour so it looks standard at first glance.

Here's something I'm working on for a friend. It's not for the mito though . I've finished the filing of the swingarm, designed the bearing cups and plates, so hopefully that will get welded up in a couple of weeks then I can start getting the frame mounts etc welded on.

I wish I had some spare time ! I do all the programming / modelling at night so I 'm usually up to the small hours getting them how I want, then it's just waiting for the machine to be free overnight. This mount wasn't modelled by me so that saved a bit of time. Luckily enough I happened to find a lump of ally that was exactly the right size I needed so it only cost me a good drink Have you still got your mito ?

Well, Mark came over today for a test fit of the mount / carbon arm and to make sure it all fits together how it should . After a few nervous minutes of small talk we tried the parts together and........ IT FITS To say we are both relieved would be a bit of an understatement, I had visions of the holes not lining up but they all llined up perfectly. Here's how it looks now. So once we had made sure it all fitted together ok we then fitted it to the bike Everything lines up / fits how it should , result ! At least now I can start making bits for my bike again now

I finally managed to get shot of that R1 swingarm and everything fits like it should ;D It's just waiting for lacquering and bonding then it's completely finished. Here's a couple of final pictures of it. While the arm was in the shed I got a bit bored and it ended up like this I half hoped it would never fit in but the bloody thing looked like it would with a bit of tweaking . At least now its finished I can get back on with doing bits on my bike for a change ! This weekend I have been fitting the plates into the swingarm , tank mount and subframe ready for welding in a couple of weeks. So it's geting closer to being finished ( still taking ages mind ! ) I've also been playing with a new toy which unfortuantly won't be fitted for a few months but looks quite nice on the shelf next to the rest of the bits that are waiting to get fitted ;D

Now that I have some time for doing stuff on my own bike for a change I have spent a few hours buried deep in my shed messing about with the mito. I had the subframe welded up today by my next door neighbour , all I have to do is work out how I want the seat unit fitted and make the rear tray up then its all finished It looks a bit like this I've given it a good bouncing and there's no flex in it , which is a bonus. I'll know for definite if it needs any extra bracing once I get the mounts welded to the frame. I also finally got round to finishing off my boring ally swingarm . I have made up the bearing cups and fitted some 1/4 in plate which I'm hoping will make up for the section I had to remove . Please excuse the temporary welding , it should be getting welded up next friday Next on the list is desiging some footrests then I think I can start building it up ( hope I haven't forgot anything ! )

I had my swingarm welded up and it looks a bit like this now and surprisingly enough it fitted in the frame. I've just got to tweak it a bit to get the fit perfect then its all done I'm going to get the rest of the welding done ( subframe and suspension mounts ) in a couple of weeks then it's all going to go back together to get the exhausts made . After that I can start finishing it off properly !!

I finally found the time to finish off the rough set of footrests , I've got to make some wider spacers for them as they are a bit too close to the swingarm. I just have to finish off smoothing the frame off for next friday when I get the mounts all welded on , then it's all ready to get the exhausts made ;D So long as I haven't forgotten anything , once that is done I can start thinking about finishing the chassis off !

Spent the afternoon with Bob today and I now have all the mounts welded on Here's a couple of pictures I couldn't decide on what shock to have , nitron or ohlins and after at least 2 minutes I decided on nitron I found these and funnily enough they fit perfectly and here it is on a paddock stand ( finally ! ) I had a quick weigh of all the bits I have at the moment and it's 50kg , I read somewhere that a 350 engine is 25 - 30 kgs so I think I might be in with a chance of it finishing up at 100kg (ish). Next on the ever decreasing list of things to do is to get the wheel alignment sorted and work out how I'm going to hold the rear caliper , chain adjusters etc. I should be getting my barrels and crank back from fahron next week then it's off to get the exhausts made at the end of the month. Once they are made I can start properly finishing it off , the only downside is that I'm going to have sell some of the bits off my R1 to pay for it all Anyone want a full akra, dynojet kit, k+n and 5pw yokes ? I had a bit of a play on photoshop to see how it will look when its finished and came up with this. I'm really happy with how this looks , it's exactly how I imagined it to look when I started ( but without the pedals ! ) Just have to finish now I suppose
