That looks great, did you get the calipers and adapters from 'Bike Torque'?

Out for a run on my gamma today so it still doesn’t run right at low revs infact it has a flat spot from 2000 to 2800 and its dead you have to slip the clutch ,everywhere else its spot on and goes like a scalded cat ,unfortunately 2 to 2.8 is town /traffic driving it was a nightmare today stuck behind a bus on a steep hill ,the temperature gauge went to 3/4 just below the red, what do you think ? my mate thinks it needs smaller pilots,he says its not the airscrew as its ok upto 2000.

What is it doing between 2000 and 2800?
Usually if pilot is too small it bogs with the carbs droning. Won't take anything other than small throttle openings
Rich and it will be a wall like when you leave the choke on or machine gunning
Take the air filters out and see if it gets better or worse

No throttle movement makes any difference you just have to wait or slip the clutch ill pop the filter off tomorrow

I’m sure there is another article by Lance on setting carbs up - but I just can’t seem to find it at the moment.

These bikes are never great at the bottom end and even worse with any tuning, carb bore or disc mods.

you know my rg250 is kinda like that pulling, you have to rev it.
i put it down to 28mm carbs for 125cc was to big a air movement.

Okay out today I’ve tried the airscrews no difference 😡its not as bad when its cold but when its warmed up if you get caught in the flat spot it just drones and cuts out,if im quick enough and pull the choke it pulls away, could this be floats causing fuel starvation as the pilot is the highest jet and the choke is at the bottom of the bowl?

Sounds like it's lean at the bottom end
Go up one or 2 on pilot size

Just checked the float height and its 23mm so that means it will have less fuel in the bowl? But it has high flow ceramic ball fuel valves do these have a different float height? I set them to 17mm when I fitted them but they would leak on the side stand (the bike does lean over quit a lot)

Reset all the carbs kept the 25 pilots as I found one choked (strange one choked pilot can stop a four cylinder) it still has the flat spot but can be driven through and avoided so alls good ,gave it some stick in a couple of gears today 😁👍now that’s what ive been looking for, starts to pull hard at 6 then really pulls at 8 when the pv closes ,i just need to put the fairing back on and roll on summer

Update: Ive purchased a performance fabrications adjustable pickup after checking the timing it was 10 degree at tickover and 23 at half throttle its now 14 and 26 its running much better now and has really reduced the low down flat spot ,im running an ignitech now junked the zeel, its all been adjusted mechanically and not by the igi when i plug in the igi it says i have reverse polarity on the pickup or something like that I will take a screenshot next time i check
