While my N1 is in decent condition, I am still making small corrections to it, to get it closer to original. The other day I found a NOS seat, allowing me to change the black one for the correct red one. Other than that it's more small things like changing from braided brake lines to rubber ones, as well as changing 13mm nuts to 12mm and changing a bunch of screws from insex to JIS. Before: After: /Steen

Oh no! How the hell did you manage that? I would love to tell you it was some heroic or daring act but the truth will out. I was throwing a carpet in a skip! Lost my temper, went to propper send it in my rage and my arm fell off. Broke a bit of bone off the socket and detached the tendons, needs an operation on it!

There is a lesson in there for us all I reckon. My Sis in law just had two ops on her shoulder for a similar sort of thing and the recovery was very gentle and slow. Hopefully yours wont be as bad. Used to see a lot of collar bone injuries when doing rallys, broken and also dislocated etc. Never fun when you come over a hill and see the rideer stood on side of trail, bike led on the dirt and you can see as you roll up by the scene and their stance whats gone on. I was always amazed I never managed it, I guess I was never trying hard enough lol Good luck with the op mate. heal quickly!

Thanks pal, I will know more tomorrow after a scan on it, first thing the surgeon pointed out when I met him was my date of birth, before he'd even examined me!

Lost my temper, went to propper send it in my rage and my arm fell off. Broke a bit of bone off the socket and detached the tendons, needs an operation on it! If you are anywhere near Nottingham I can recommend a good shoulder surgeon, Benjamin Gooding. Four years ago fell off on a MX track in a straight line and tore off the left shoulder muscles , tendons and finished tearing the rotator cuff that the MRI scan showed I had split sometime in the distant past. It was in the brief relaxation between covid lockdowns , and I left it too long , hoping it would sort itself out, before going to get it looked at. Physio immediately bollocked me and was concerned it would not be properly repairable due to my delay. Ben Gooding was unsure if my shoulder could be repaired to any satisfactory level, but did an outstanding job and I`ve got about 90% of the full range of motion back , I couldn`t raise my arm to shoulder height before the op. It still crunches and pops a bit , started doing YOGA two years ago and some of the Yoga moves are still not possible, but its fine in usual day to day situations.

Not actually an LC but looked at the sky today, just a few clouds so went out for a ride. 5 miles from home the heavens opened up. The fairing kept the worse off but on race tyres it was a squeaky bum moment. Every time I had to stop I got drenched. Arrived home safely but soaked and freezing cold. Reminded me of being 16 all over again...

Untitled by Keith Tiplady, on Flickr Got a little job done on a leaky PV tank for the canadian import, hope to get it to MOT next week but doing all the little jobs on it one handed is a bit of a bugger!

Hi Tacky, love this build, turbo bikes are a real hoot. One thing to watch is where you've taken the oil feed from for the turbo, all the crap from the gearbox ends up there clinging to the magnet on the sump plug, but i guess yours will flow free through the union, best to run a sandwich plate post filter so it's the cleanest possible oil feeding the turbo? Andy.
