Bike night ride out. Oiled a plug as I keep riding it like my GS. Sorted that then kept her revving - runs so sweet I love it. It was pretty dark when I took these as the iPhone has some mega camera so it may look more dusk than dark. LED headlight is the biz.

Washed it, and took it for ride, recently put the internals back in the airbox because it was making my ears bleed, changed the jets accordingly, running pretty sweet. Mrs also caught me sorting the garage out, she said really do you need all of them! Of course

I would like to say I fitted a new shiny sparkling gold DID chain and sprockets. Got as far as gearbox sprocket removal. Now where did I put that all important 32mm socket for safe keeping. I know I didn’t lend it to anyone, I know I put it in an obvious place (unfortunately not the snap on cabinet) where I would never forget. Well I forgot! Spent the afternoon looking for it and finally gave up. Click and collect 32mm socket at Halfords tomorrow morning. Start again. Grrr!

Stripped the head on my gixxer 1100. Cleaned up all the casting marks and cleaned up around the valve seats. Lapped the valves. Fitted new seals and APE racing heavy duty springs. Stripped the carbs down. Every nut bolt. Replaced all the o-rings. Mains and fitted billet tops as the turbo blows the plastic tops to bits. Just got the cylinders back, bored out to take Gen 1 Busa pistons. 1216cc. Try and get it running in the next few weeks. Turbo kit is here as well. Should be fun

Tell me about it mate......the amount of times I've lost stuff in my garage is unbelievable! Just like you I think I've put it in a safe place then for the life of me I can never remember where it is, ggrrrr!😵💫😁

That's the problem. Anything 10 or 13mm vanishes!

I have probably 2 or 3 10mm sockets. The only time you find a "lost" item is once you have another one on order.

Continuing disassembly of the white RZ350. Can anyone tell me what the brass sleeve is on the shift shaft in 5th picture down from the top? Yep... its a bodge. I expect the seal leaks and they were trying to fix that without doing it properly.

Not strictly what I did on my Elsie today, but bike related. Treated myself to a new cranium safety device. Jon

Well it’s all sorted now. JT Sprockets and Gold DID chain all in for £75.00. Didn’t think that was bad. Oh yes …. and the £7.00 for the missing 32mm socket.
