I think 'plate speak' is its own language really... 3's are E's, 4's are A's and they get less easy from there on in... 7's are L's to some people... #MadWorld (are hashtags even a thing in late '24?)

Got mine registered as Historic. Went into the Post Office with 3 log books, and put "Historic" in the Taxation box on each. No Mot exemption form needed. Post Office will send them off, and hopefully the new logbooks will be back in a couple of weeks

Yes. Mouse tried various Post Offices, but Addlestone was the first he found who knew what they were doing ! Really simple - It only took a few minutes to get them processed

The lady at our local post office had never registered a vehicle as historic when I popped in a couple of months ago with my new LC log book and form, it only took her a couple of minutes she handed me a receipt for the log book and I said "thanks I can tax it now" and she said "I've just done as well for you" 👍

Had the tyres fitted to the 350LC wheels, inner spacer on the rear wheel was to short so he made one and fitted it for me, over the last couple of weeks fitted a new Nitron and Metmachex swinger to the LC, slow progress but getting there. Mark

I think the tax is done automatically when you register for Historic. All mine now have a receipt saying they are taxed for the next 12 months, at zero cost. Funny, as 2 of them are far from being roadworthy !! Glad you are moving forward Mark Hope you are feeling better.

Glad you are moving forward Mark Hope you are feeling better. i bought a suzuki x5 last year which was already classed as historic and when i registered it in my name i got a tax reminder saying i needed to tax it or sorn it, obviously the cost of tax was £0.00, but wil i have to tax it again when the twelve months are up ? or does it remained taxed whilst i am the owner ? and as a side note when i bought my LC a few months ago that was (supposedly) registered as historic the log book came bake in my name with the taxation class as bicycle (or motorcyle i can't remember which) and that i needed to tax it, i think it somewhere around £50 quid, so it was either computer error, or not registered historic or DVLA trying it on ! needless to say i registered as historic and payed nowt

Had a smashing ride out with the NERDOC lads and lasses. Only downside was me bike nipped up a mile from home. Andy.

No Mate, it's sulking in the corner of the garage, engine will have to come out, bloody Athena barrels are plated so that will need to be done, but i need to get to the root cause of why it happened, was running fab, set up by Dave on the dyno? Andy.

Leak down test it before you take it apart. Then have a look at the pistons for clues...

Got despondent over it . Parts prices heading North, bike value heading South, so much to do.

I had to unstick the back wheel from the chock stand. It took quite a lot of effort. Pushing it forward just rotated the chock stand lifting the whole bike in the air.
Also had to change a spark plug as it failed but was still working.
For some strange reason it came loose twice before it failed.
