Thanks Robbie, good info, the compressor looks like the same size as the one i have which is lucky, the dust extractor is something I hadn't thought about, definitely a must I'd say.

I'm thinking about buying one of the small table top sandblasting cabinets, I knows its not going to be that good but I need it for little bits like bolts and spindles etc prior to plating. My question is, what's a realistic size compressor needed to run it and what media is best for these small jobs. I've got a compressor I bought from Aldi a while back, not the small one so maybe it will be enough.
In some ways I regret moving to the middle of Wales, I had everything on my doorstep before, I'm now having to get more creative....

Hi It was listed as an R6, 03-05 5sl model. The other one I bought was listed as R6, 2002 model. Dusty Dusty, the straight one would work ok with std setup do you think? Phil

The paint looks really good, as you say, a bit of effort and time shows a great result. Keep the pics coming.

Them colours look the biz Phil 👍, but then I am bias 🤩👌 I have to admit I was worried but I knew how good yours looked with the gold so was brave enough to go for it. I may end up changing the wheel colour as it wasn't the right one and may look wrong, let's see when I get home. Got another 3 weeks at work but I'm itching to get it on. Phil

The gold may not be to everybody's taste but when you see it on the bike it will look right.

The original gear change arm is still available and I don't think it looks that bad Just bought the arm, SS rod and the billet lever this week Steve I guess a new one is a better option than my scabby old one How's the billet arm Steve, looks good?? Phil

I see Norbo does a nice billet gear lever and a stainless steel connecting rod but are there any options for the bit with the spline?? seems a shame to have those all nice then use the butt ugly Yamaha splined part. One of the last bits on my shopping list now.
Oh, another question, any recommend somebody for hydro-dipping? I cant buy carbon frame infills now so would like to send the Yamaha ones off to be carbon Hydro- dipped.
Thanks, Phil

I'm afraid so, the seller seems genuine, but I dont want a bike thats got a dodgy frame, never sell it again for one. The frame has been powder coated it looks like, but I cant see the Astrix either.

1A2 Pete, I've just found a picture showing it, the frame number its also too many digits, 1A2 04 the 0 shouldn't be there on a 250F, I've just asked the seller to cancel my bid. So the hunt goes on....

Hi Guys, can anybody confirm how the frame numbers are on an AC RD, so they have the asterix at the start like LC frame numbers? I'm looking at a 250 but not sure the frame number is correct.
Thanks, Phil
